Exactly! And what if that person lives in a jurisdiction that allows
him/her to file a replacement birth certificate, which by definition is
a declaration of fact which is inherently false? And what if the law
forbids anyone to state the truth concerning the individual's life history?

Such a situation becomes not only confusing as far as the facts are
concerned, but impossible in light of the "facts" being altered. (And
can we genealogists be charged with a crime for recording what we find?)

(And no, I don't demand that TMG be modified to accurately record such a
situation! ;) )
