Thanks for the filter suggestions, but since I see no way on the PEDIGREE
CHART to use flag accents, it seems to be a huge waste of time to even
create and set such flags right now. It's not like I can accent the father
or mother based on flags, so while the suggestion is taken in the spirit it
was given, I don't see how it gets me any closer to my wishlist than I was
yesterday. Granted IF I were talking about changing the BOX CHARTS, it would
be helpful, but I am not. I am suggesting making a change to the PEDIGREE
CHART and only the pedigree chart. (Which as I have stated ad nauseum, could
then be called anything else you'd like to call it.)
I don't need these filters in the PV of the child, since I have the
relationship tag right there and can see what type of research relationship
he has to each parent. I need it on a printed chart that I can take with me
to the library, share with cousins researching the same lines or just for my
own use when I am trying to research, surf the internet, talk to my husband,
watch tv and keep up with said cousins on Facebook. :) You know a chart that
would fit in a notebook, not on a wall. <G>

Hi Teresa,
First note that TMG will not let you set a non-biological relationship
tag as primary for a child if the parent is blank. The standard -Bio
tag type can be primary and blank for the parent, but not a
non-biological type. So if you filter for a "primary" non-biological
relationship, you can be sure that both parent and child ID numbers are
non-zero. This helps the following filters.
I believe the List of People report with its Secondary Output can set
the flags for you. I note that in the List of People filter every
Father-* tag type is listed, and the "Primary" check box is provided for
those filter fields. You will notice that there is no filter field for
"Son-Ado" etc. There are only Father-*, Mother-* and Parent-*. So (for
example) you could have a filter of:
* // Father-Ado... // Child ID // Does not equal // 0 // END
This will find any primary *-Ado relationship of a Father to a child and
will identify the Child for the flag change. If you want the Father
identified for the flag change, you must use:
* // Father-Ado... // Parent ID // Does not equal // 0 // END
Hope this gives you ideas,
Michael
