If yours is grinding check and make sure there is not a fragment of
paper stuck inside it.

If you buy a Brother mutifunction remember it goes through an automatic
cleaning cycle once a week that can not be turned off. The costs of
printers now is insignificant as compared to the price of the ink per
year. I was at a place today that refills injet cartridges and they told
the customer the best way to save was buy a new printer.
