Texas DC's are online at Family Search also.  Although my roots run deep in TN
(to 1795), I'm afraid that they are much too deep than recorded DC's, so
searching the TN certifcates doesn't help me much.  But boy do I agree--the ones
on Family Search are so much easier to find and read than any others I've
found.  I could spend all day tracking family tangents just with the DC's.  Now
they've added some TX birth certificates also.

Joan, Sorry, I thought you were already there. LOL Family Search has the TN
death certificates online now. Not sure about other states.  They are
crystal clear compared to the ones I got at the state archives. What can I
say, a genealogists work is never done. LOL
