Ian,

You've lost me. I have many people where I have assigned a name other than
the birth name as the primary name, and I have no reason finding the person
by either name. I typically use a special tag for the name-at-birth when
it's not the primary name, but there are also cases where I explain things
in a name memo or a note event.
