Judy, I cannot recreate your problem.
I created a new person. Made his name Lawrence Thomas Pruitt born in 1899. In
1910 I added a Name-chg tag and changed his name to Lawrence Thomas Prewitt.
Then I added one tag using the Pruitt name before the name change and 4 tags
after--choosing the Prewitt name for each of the last 4 tags. I set every tag
sentence to use the full name and not he/she. I did a Individual Narrative
report with all tags selected in options and the correct surnames were used in
each sentence--Pruitt in the 1st one and Prewitt in the last 4 tag sentences.
It didn't matter if you checked or unchecked the Name-chg tag in report
options. That only added or stopped the Name-chg sentence from being in the
report. It had no effect on what name was used in the other tag sentences.
I don't see what step you could be leaving out. For me it just is a matter of
what name you choose to use in the tag entry window. Maybe someone else can
come up with something.
Kaye

And that second name doesn't "stick" after I choose it...which probably means
I'm forgetting something.
