For me, it's a small matter to remember which name is preferred, and
something I can determine very easily: go to any person with any of the name
variations and look for a Name-Std tag. If there is one, it shows which
variation is my preferred version. If there isn't, then the primary surname
is the preferred variation. Based on how I measure it, that's a *lot* less
work than adding many name tags to many people, and knowing that it's likely
I have missed some. Adding each variation to each person means that you have
many, many tags to add every time to discover a new variation. Yuck.
