I assume that you also have a number of legitimate "Plymouth County" events, as well.
First thought would be whether the erroneous "County" entries were put into the "state"
spot, while the real "County" entries were put into the "county" spot in the Master Place
List? Those would be easy to change in the Master Place List. Have a look.
If both went into the same slot, is there any chance there is a smaller number of the
legitimate "County" entries to fix manually? That way you could go to the Master Place
List and change "Plymouth County" to "Plymouth Colony", the manually correct the "County"
ones.
