Yeah, but if they backed up buttons, then they should be in the V8 button
folder, so like you said editing them is fairly easy and straightforward. If
they didn't back up the buttons, and had custom ones, then yeah, that would
be an issue. (I assume the ones that weren't custom would be installed by
TMG 8)
Most of mine pointed to:
C:\PROGRAM FILES\THE MASTER GENEALOGIST\Buttons\
That folder doesn't show up when I explore my folder tree, but I would
imagine TMG can see it. The button example showed no example, just an empty
box. Once I edited it to the correct button folder, the icon showed in the
box. My custom buttons were in the V8 button folder under Program Data. As
were a few images I am not sure why I stored them there. LOL

At any rate, this MIGHT be an issue for those of us with custom toolbars,
but it does seem to be easily fixable if it is, as long as you backed up the
buttons to begin with. Like you, I just edited them to be on the safe side,
so now it doesn't matter. <G>

Thanks Teresa. I've already fixed it --- I don't have nearly as many as you
do and they are all standard buttons. So I just changed the "7" to an "8" in
each one.

But I still think this may be something that should be "fixed" so that
everyone's buttons don't disappear when they uninstall v7. Maybe I'm wrong
about what will happen, but I haven't gotten an answer on that yet.
