The role name translation for that role (as identified by the English (U.S.)
role name) will be changed for all uses of that role in the data set if you
change the English2 role name translation. This will have no effect on the
use of the role name translation 'test2' for different roles.
To change a role name translation for one role for one tag type in one
language requires that you create a new role (a new English (U.S.) role
name). This is where the process becomes unintuitive and less than obvious
for non-English (U.S.) users. (and where the current design simply fails the
The way that I would change the English2 role name (for one tag type only)
is to change the language for the Tag Type Definition screen temporarily to
English (U.S.), click [Edit] for the role and enter a new role name that has
never been used for that data set. (To be simple, you could just add a '1'
or other appropriate increment to the current role name.) Now you have a new
role. Change the language back to English2 and edit the role name
translation 'test2' to whatever you want (that is not being used for the
current tag type).
