I agree with your observation, Allen. This is a subtle difference and
would probably qualify as option 4. <grin>

I am beginning to understand some of aspects of the behaior in TMG-7
concerning the assignment of default roles which I did not realize.
Maybe an option 5. might be simpler to describe as a check box to "make
assigning the first two roles work the same as TMG-7, except that either
of the first two roles _might_ now be Principal." If unchecked it
behaves as TMG-7 does now, the first role is used as the default for
both P1 and P2.

As some have mentioned, other tag types might benifit from this, like
Census. I see no "down side" for it to be available as an _option_ for
any tag type which might have two principals. I gather you would only
turn that option on for tags in the Marriage group, others might want it
for other tag types.
