Carole,

Here is one possible solution to your problem. There are three steps to
the solution.

First, create a Place Style (I call it Church Place Style)
Church Place Style
at <[CITY], ><[STATE], ><[COUNTRY], ><[POSTAL]>

Select this place style on the TAG Entry screen when you enter the
church admission data. To avoid problems with other place styles, put a
code in [L10] to identify the style on the TAG Entry screen.

Second, you will need two roles, each with it's own sentence:
for those cases where you known the name of the church.
1)CHURCH
[P] <was|and [PO] were> admitted <[D], ><to the [L1] church>< located at
[L2], >< [L]>

for those cases where you do not know the name of the church.
2)NO CHURCH
[P] <was|and [PO] were> admitted <[D], > to the church < [L]>
