Polly,

As the error message indicates, TMGU version 7.1 Build 2 does not support
projects edited with TMG v8. (Projects made by TMG program version 8 have a
project version number of 9.)

The current version of TMGU is 7.2 Build 8, and it supports TMG v8 projects.
