Hi Judy,
My GG-uncle, Capt. Gideon L. TALLEY, was in Company A, 16th Tennessee
Infantry. The men in this infantry regiment came from DeKalb, Coffee,
Warren, Putnam, and White counties.
I don't know if the 16th Tennessee Calvary came from the same counties
or not.

Can anyone refer me to a history of the 16 Tennessee Cavalry, Company D. If I knew which counties most of the men in the unit were from it might help to confirm or perhaps eliminate this W.F. Scott. Any help or suggestions much appreciated.
