BOYD, BONNIE O. - age 73, of Lake City, passed away Tuesday, October 19,
1999, at Methodist Medical Center. She was born October 25, 1925, in
Brookside, Ky. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margie Jackson Boyd
Powell; father, Frank Boyd; brother, Johnny Boyd. Survivors: sister, Mary
"Frankie" Boyd Duff; brother, Billy Jack Boyd; nieces, Ginger Duff Carrion,
Jane Duff Odom, Bonnie Duff Dankowski; nephews, Charles D. Duff, Terry Boyd,
Steve Boyd; great-nieces and nephews. Services will be Thursday, October 21,
1999, at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home, Lake City with
Rev. Mike Foust and Rev. George See officiating. The family will receive
friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to any cancer research center. Holley-Gamble Funeral
Home in charge of arrangements.
LEACH, VALERIA (PAT) - age 81, of Lake City, passed away Wednesday, October
20, 1999, at Methodist Medical Center. Preceded in death by her husband, Ben
Leach; parents, Charlie and Effie Seward; brother, Jim Seward; and infant
sister, Jenivee Seward. Survivors: son, Jim and Judy Bowman of Asheville,
N.C.; daughter, Carolyn and husband, Edd Gilbert of Lake City; sister,
Christine Jackson of Lake City; brother, Herman and wife, Jean Seward of
Toledo, Ohio; sister-in-law, Mary Ruth Seward of Macon, Ga.; grandchildren,
Debby and husband, J.R. Bridges of Lake City, Jay Nelson of Asheville, N.C.,
Lynn Nelson of Tennessee, Jeff Bowman of Vermontville, Mich.;
great-grandchildren, Sabrina Thompson of Tennessee, Jeffrey and Calab Bowman
of Michigan; several nieces and nephews. Service will be Friday, October 22,
1999, at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home, Lake City, with
Rev. J.C. Monday officiating. Interment will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Leach
Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral
home. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home, Lake City, in charge.
WILKERSON, DON - age 55, of Caryville, passed away Wednesday morning, October
20, at his home. He attended Riverview Church of God in Ridgeview, Mich., was
an honorary member of Vietnam Veterans and a master mason in Michigan.
Survivors: wife, Rhonda Nelson Wilkerson; sons, Rodney Wilkerson and Brian
Keith Wilkerson; daughter, Kristyn Nicole Wilkerson, all of Caryville;
mother, Edith Wilkerson, Madison, Ala.; brother, Gary Wilkerson, Nashville;
sisters, Jean Barlar, Alpharetta, Ga., Patsy Morring, Harvest, Ala., Joyce
Popkins, Jacksonville, N.C., Debbie Metcalf, Dallas, Texas. Funeral service 8
p.m. Thursday, October 21, at Cross Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Orville Petree
officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Friday, October 22, in Jacksboro Cemetery. The
family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Cross Chapel. Arrangements
by Cross Funeral Home.
