My great grandfather's autobiography, "Seventy Years in the Coal Mines",
is now available electronically on the Schuylkill County, PA, website at

In the book are references to late nineteenth century and turn of the
century Jellico, SE Kentucky, LaFollette, and Knoxville with respect to
the FRANCIS family and other families. Many local names are mentioned in
the book. There is a vivid description of his role in entering the
Fraterville mine after the disastrous explosion of 1902. The TNANDERS-L
listowner may want to place a link to this book on the local website.
