SHOUN, EARL "DOC" - age 83, of Jellico, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999
at UT Medical Center in Knoxville. He was the son of the late Frederick and
Effie Powell Shoun. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and taught
school for thirty five years. Survived by: wife, Maureen Shoun of Jellico;
sons Wilber Shoun and Steve Shoun, both of Maryville; daughter, Jean Ann
Teague of Columbia, Mo.; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Lana
Vondell of LaFollette; brother Glenn Shoun of Bronson, Mich. The family will
receive friends at the First Baptist Church, Jellico, Friday, Oct. 29, from
6-8 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. with Dr. Chuck Summers
officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, at the Pond
Cemetery, LaFollette for graveside service and interment. In lieu of flowers
please make contributions to First Baptist Church, Jellico. Cox & Son Funeral
Home, Jellico, in charge.

SMITH, ROBERT H. - age 87, formerly of Andersonville, Tenn. passed away
Wednesday at Mariner Health Care Center. Member of Bryams Fork Baptist
Church. Son of the late James and Della Weaver Smith. Also preceded in death
by his wife, Jettie Smith and a daughter, Sherrie Smith. Survivors: son, Mack
and his wife Linda Smith of Fairfield Glade, Tenn.; grandchildren, Stanley
Smith, Brant Smith, Melanie Smith, and William Smith; great grandson, Mavrick
Smith; brother, Will Smith of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral
services 2:00 p.m. Friday at Holley-Gamble Chapel. Rev. Clyde Gray
officiating. Interment at Hutchinson Cemetery. Family will receive friends
1-2:00 p.m. Friday prior to the funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Holley-Gamble
Funeral Home in Clinton in charge of arrangements.
