The Knoxville News Sentinel no longer lists the daily obituaries on its
website. Due to a request from several of us, it now offers a " Test Service"
to see if it is feasible to send out an obituary list via e-mail. For now,
the service is free during the test period. Later the monthly charge will be
small ( less than a nickel a day they say) for those who live out of town,
state, etc.

If you are interested in this service or have relative, friends who are, or
for those of you who have an interest in genealogy, or live out of town or
state, this can be an inexpensive source of information. They say they will
not share the customer list with any third party.

The obituary file comes as a download. I printed one out to peruse and it was
10-12 pages of copy ( full obituaries).

If enough of us will send our wishes to them, perhaps they would make this a
regular mailing, an invaluable information resource.
