FARMER, KIMBLE LEROY - age 74, of Clinton, passed away Monday, June 16, 2003
at his residence. He had worked as a Funeral Director for 38 years in the
Anderson & Knoxville area. Most of these years were spent serving the former
Martin Funeral Home & Anderson County Funeral Home in Clinton. He was a United
States Army veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the
Knoxville Volunteer State Honor Guard. Preceded in death by parents, Hugh &
Laura Farmer. Mr. Farmer was born July 14, 1928 in Anderson County. Survivors:
wife, Mary Farmer of Clinton; daughters, Janice Line of Harriman, Lynn Mayes &
Ricky Gibbs of Clinton, Maribess Arden & husband, Steve of Powell; son, Mike
Farmer & wife, Nancy of Toledo, OH;
grandchildren, Alan & Sudartha Line, Brad Line & family, Jacob McPherson,
Brandon Arden, Nicole Farmer, Mindy Farmer, Michell Farmer & Austin Thomas Line.
A special thanks to Ricky & Steve for all your love. Memorials may be made to
Children's Hospital, Knoxville. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00
p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2003 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with
funeral service following at 8:00 p.m., in the chapel with Rev. Curtis Nolan
officiating. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Clinton in charge of all arrangements.

MILLER, MRS. LIDA JANE CARSON - age 51, died unexpectedly on Saturday, June
14, 2003, at her home in Wartburg, Tenn. Janie was a graduate of Carson Newman
College and an active member of Big Emory Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading,
outdoor activities, photography, craft hobbies, and writing poetry. She also
enjoyed helping people and loved children. She was preceded in death by
father, Charles Carson of Wartburg. She is survived by her mother, Jean Kinsley
Carson of Wartburg; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ellen and Sam Nugent; son, Larry
J. Miller, Jr.; sister, Mary Lynn Carson; brothers, Charles E. Carson, James
D. Carson and George Carson; grandson, Johnathan Lee Coker and several aunts,
uncles, cousins and friends. Janie's family will receive friends Tuesday
evening from 6 to 9 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home. Funeral services Wednesday 11
a.m., Schubert Funeral Home Chapel, Wartburg. Interment will be in the Wartrburg
Cemetery. She was loved and she will be missed.

THOMPSON, RICKY HOMER - age 35, of Caryville, passed away Monday, June 16,
2003 at his home. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, Caryville and Local
#453 Brotherhood of Boilermakers. Preceded in death by his father, Homer
Thompson; sons, Timothy and Cody Thompson; sister, Kathy Elledge; grandparents,
Lonnie and Aline Grimes and Rev. Frank and Linda Thompson. Survivors: mother,
Keithal Jones of LaFollette; brother, Michael Thompson and wife, Pam, of
Jacksboro; sister, Karen Steakley and husband, Hubert, of Maysville, OK; uncle and
wife, W.L. and Susan Grimes of Caryville; special friend, Micky Lawson; several
nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The funeral service will be 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday at Central Baptist Church, Caryville, Rev. Ellis Hoskins officiating.
Interment will be 11:00 a.m Thursday in Leach Cemetery, Lake City. The family
will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
