Mrs. Myrtle Mae Fritts Isabell, 64, wife of Leonard Isabell of Fourth St, Lake City died last Thursday in Lake City Hospital. She leaves 90 survivors. She had suffered a heart attack the Sunday before her death. Mrs. Isabell was a native of Anderson County having lived in the Lake City area all her life. Her husband is a retired coal miner.She was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church.Besides her husband, she leaves three sons; C.L. Isabell of Caryville, Lonnie and Condy Isabell, both of Lake City; nine daughters, Mrs. Mary Johnson of Knoxville, Miss Stella Isabell and Mrs. Bonnie Smith both og Lake City, Mrs Pearl Daughterty, Mrs. Marie Tackett, Mrs.Christine Stepp, Mrs Louise Melton, Miss Charlotte Isabell all of Caryville, and Mrs. Thelma Kimberlin of La Follette.Other survivors are one sister Mrs. Leona Carroll of Caryville; one brother James L. Fritts of Lake City; 29 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; 20 step-grand children; 21 step-great grandchildren.Services !

Condy Dean Isabell (Gibber), 32, of Caryvile died Monday March 21 at th ehome of his niece, Mrs. Claude (Anna) Jeffers of Caryville, with whom he made his home. He was of Baptist Faith.Funeral services were Thursday March 17 at Martin Funeral Home chapel of Lake City, with the Revs. L.B. Husky and Carl Harness officiating. May 29,1981 Ex-Cook At Lake City School Dies Funeral servcies for former cook at Lake City Elementary School,Mrs.Berlena Beach,82,of 1013 Grace Avenue, Lake City,were held Friday at Willow Brook Baptist Church.She died of heart failure May 20 at Oak Ridge Hospital.She had been sick about one month and had been in the hospital five days.Mrs.Beach,a native of the Briceville and Lake City area,was a cook at the school in 1940s.She was diabetic and was wheelchair- bound for 13 years.Mrs.Beach enjoyed quilting and was a member of Willow Brook Baptist Church. She is survived by her ex-husband,Franklin Beach of Briceville,two sons,James D.Beach of Briceville, Franklin Eugene Beach of California,three daughters,Mrs.Lonnie (Naomi)Duff of Clinton,Mrs.George (Ima Jean) Elliott and Mrs.Lillie Mae Heath,both of Lake City,22 grandchildren,25 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs.Effie Isabell of Lake City and Mrs.Retha Tackett (Boss Tackett) of Caryville.Burial was in Oak Grove Cemeter!

Mary O. Johnson, 69, Knoxville, died Friday, October 24, 2003 at the UT Medical Center of Knoxville. She was born July 24, 1934 in Anderson County. Mary enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and listening to country music. She was of the Baptist faith. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Myrtle Fritts Isabel; husbands, Clyde Braden and Clyde Hayes; brother, Condy Isabell; sisters, Pearl Daugherty, Marie Tackett and Bonnie Smith. She is survived by her husband, Elmer Johnson, Knoxville; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Louise Braden, Clinton, Randel and Denise Hayes, Knoxville; daughters and son-in-laws, Violet and Tommy Gaines, Georgia, Pam and Joe Kassari, Knoxville, Tammy and Junior Stevens, Philadelphia; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sisters, Thelma Kimerblin, Christin Isabell, both of LaFollette, Louise Melton, Lake City, Sharlet Phillips, LaFollette, Stella Doll, Lake City; brother, C.L. Bobby Lewis Smith, 26 of Route 1, Caryville, and Ray M. Isabell, 23, of Montgomery, Ill., were killed early Sunday in a one-car accident on Twin Cove Road one mile east of Caryville. The car ran off the road and struck a tree, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol office in Knoxville. Samuel Loyd, Jr., 25, of Caryville, was seriously injured in the accident.Mr. Smith was employed up until one year ago as a laborer for Allied Steel. He was a member of the Baptist and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Stella Isabell Smith; Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Smith, father and step-mother; Adam Scott Smith half brother of Caryville three sisters Mrs. Jerry (Judy) Jeffers and Mrs. Kerry (Pauline) Albert both of Vasper, and Mars.
