All the posts about the history of the Churches has been soooo
interesting! I always thought my (unproven) COLEMAN'S were
Presbyterians, but the names in the post of the Hardshell Babtist :HIX,
REAGOR, FLOYD, are names of families these COLEMAN'S married into. Jesse
COLEMAN was a witness to Elijah FLOYD'S will (probated Oct.1876). This
Jesse married two of Elijah's nieces (daus of his brother, David
FLOYD,Jr) and Jesse's brother, Joshua, m. a dau. of Elijah. Looks like
these COLEMAN's were most likely Babtists, too. Thanks to all who posted
