Checking the Bedford County Cemetery Book by Marsh there are no DOWDY family
members at all listed. Sorry. There are a few in Marshall County, they
are:
Cynthia A. Dowdy July 20, 1847 - Sep 27,1912
wife of Wm Dowdy b ca (circa) 1831
Wm. Dowdy son of W. Dowdy b 1795 NC and Elizabeth b 1802 NC
W. Leroy Dowdy Sept 25, 1869 Nov 6, 1931 and
Ivie Wilson Dowdy Mar 15, 1877 Dec 8, 1975
These were listed on Page 26 of the Marshall County Cemeteries and were all
buried in MURDOCK Cemetery (Two miles west of Holtland on Dowdy Road
Compiled Oct 27, 1979 by Ralph D. Whitesell, Helen and Tim Marsh and Mr.
DOWDY

Hope this helps. I would check the current Lewisburg area phone book for
any DOWDY's. Good luck, Cindy Stephenson Robertson

but it was a boy, who would have been under ten years of age.
