The only thing I found in my Bedford, Marshall County records were some
deaths in Bedford County:
Bedford County Cemeteries page 273
HASTING CAMP GROUND CEMETERY
Located on the New Hope Road New Hope Church Cemetery
W.P. Horsley Apr 6, 1854 June 25, 1902
Sarah Louise Horsley Rowell Jul 31, 1916 Sep 1, 1938
Jimmie P. Horsley 1894 - 1922
Mutas Horsley 1891 - 19 (that's all just 19)
Ss.F. Horsley King May 27, 1853 Jan 8, 1936

Since some of these deaths occurred after 1908 you may check for TN Death
Certificates.
I checked the following books:
1880 Bedford County Census
Bedford County TN Wills
History of Bedford County TN
1820 Census Bedford County TN
The Cook Family in America
Goodspeed History of Wilson, Maury, Bedford and Marshall County

Just found one more HORSLEY in my Tennessee Cousins Book by Worth Ray
Page 764
GIBBS - McADOO Connections
John McADOO moved his family to Knoxville in 1828. The son, William Gibbs
McAdoo was reared there and was admitted to practice law there in 1850. He
taught school there awhile also. The son married (1) Anna C. Horsley -
Mary Floyd. He was the father of Hon. William Gibbs McAdoo, Secretary of
the Treasury who married the daughter of President Woodrow Wilson.

Same book page 413
The Early Land Records of Virginia and the Rice Maddox Family

Several patents to land in the early day of the Virginia Colony carry the
name of a certain Rice Maddox. In 1653 John Bennett patented some land in
Northumberland County, VA on the east side of Nominy river and a Rice Maddox
owned land adjoining his patent at that time. In 1665 one Robert Horsley
patented 200 acres of land on the south side of the Potomac River in
Northumberland County, VA

Opps, one more I found Hoover Funeral Records, Bedford County TN page212
Pg 36 Mrs. F.A. Rowell, born July 31, 1916 Bedford Co TN age 22 years, 1
month and 2 days, married, died September 1, 1938 Fayetteville Tennessee,
funeral at New Hope at 2:00 PM. Buried September 2, 1938 New Hope Cemetery.
Father Jim Horseley who was born in Bedford County. Mother M-ta- Philpott
who was born in Bedford County. Clergy: Marshall. Casket $100.00

That is all of my sources. Hope this helps some. Good Luck, Cindy
