BROOKS, LOUIE A. - 86, Oak Ridge, passed away at his home on Saturday, June
20, 1998. A member of Highland View Church of Christ and Boilermakers Union
Lodge #453, Knoxville. Survivors include wife, Carlon M. Brooks, Oak Ridge;
sons, Carlos Brooks and wife, Evelyn Nelson Brooks, Knoxville, Kendall Brooks
and wife, Sheila Tilley Brooks, Oak Ridge; granddaughters, Carla Jean Brooks,
Kailua, Hawaii, Whitney Lea Brooks, Oak Ridge; grandson, Bryan B. Brooks, Los
Angeles. Funeral service will be held in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary on
Monday, June 22, 1998, 8 p.m. with Mr. Martin Pyle officiating. Memorials may
be made to Highland View Church of Christ Building Fund, 138 Providence Road,
Oak Ridge, TN 37830. Graveside service will be on Tuesday, 10 a.m. Oak Ridge
Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday 6-8 p.m. at
Weatherford Mortuary, Oak Ridge.
DUNCAN, ANNETTE WILSON - age 76, of Clinton, passed away Saturday, June 20,
1998, at the Windwood Health Care Center. The family will receive friends from
6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 21, 1998, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City. A
graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Circle Cemetery with Rev.
Warner Hawkins officiating. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Lake City in charge
of arrangements.
FOUST, OSCAR MONROE - age 85, of Lake City, passed away Saturday, June 20,
1998, at the Methodist Medical Center. He was born May 16, 1913, in Campbell
County. He was a charter member and deacon of Oak Grove Baptist Church and had
also served as a Sunday School teacher there. He was a retired electrician
from U.S. Steel in Lynch, Ky. He had also been a coal miner with Block Coal
Company. Preceded in death by his wife, Della Taylor Foust; daughter, Sarah
Ruth Foust; parents, Elbert and Mossie Foust. Survivors: daughters, Eva Mae
Johnson, Lake City, Martha Ann Brown, Lake City; son, Leroy Foust and wife,
Betty Jo, Powell; sisters, Ollie Foust, Lake City, Pearl Leeper, Knoxville;
four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday, June 22, 1998, at
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City with funeral service following at 8:30
p.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Ernest Ward officiating. Interment will be
held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 1998, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake City.
