, LUCILLE "LOU" MASSENGILL - age 78, of Miami, Fla., passed away Saturday,
June 12, 1999, in Miami, Fla. She had resided in Oak Ridge two years prior to
moving to Miami. She was born in Anderson Co. Preceded in death by husband,
Bill Ford; son, Steve Ford; parents, Robert Benjamin and Minnie Day
Massengill; sisters, Cora Armstrong, Myrtle Goins, Gertrude Carden, Nola
Brown and Maude Elkins; brothers, Paris, Clarence and Robert Massengill.
Survivors: son, Mark B. Ford of Miami, Fla.; sisters, Beulah Weaver of
Norris, Mary Reynolds of South Clinton; sisters-in-law, Lucille Massengill of
Maryville, June Massengill of Knoxville, Dorothy Ford Williams of Knoxville;
brothers-in-law, Clyde Carden of Oak Ridge, Walter Williams of Knoxville;
several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Graveside services were
held Wednesday, June 16, 1999, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Cypress,
Calif. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Clinton in charge of all local
arrangements.
KIMBERLAIN, CARL WILLIAM - age 73, of LaFollette, passed away Thursday, June
17, 1999, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was a merchant
seaman and a WWII Veteran. Preceded in death by parents, John W. and Ella
Goins Kimberlain. Survivors: wife, June Minton Kimberlain, LaFollette; son
and daughter-in-law, Steven and Susan Kimberlain, Knoxville; daughter, Sandra
Kimberlain Channiott, Jacksboro; grandchildren, Josh, Jeremy and Ashlie
Channiott, Jacksboro, Kristin and John Kimberlain, Knoxville. Funeral service
3 p.m. Sunday, June 20, at Cross Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. David Lord
officiating. Interment Fincastle Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will
receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday prior to services. Arrangements by Cross
Funeral Home.
