HUNSUCKER, GEORGE GENE, JR. - age 66 of C C Camp Rd., Norris, Tenn. passed
away Friday, July 7th, at the Meth. Medical Center. Retired as general
manager with Becromal of America Inc. in Clinton. Member of Norris Religious
Fellowship Church. Graduate of North Carolina State University in 1959.
Retired as a Colonel from the U.S. Air Force. Preceded in death by his
parents, George E. Sr. and Dorothy Hunsucker. Survivors: wife, Margaret Ann
Hunsucker of Norris; sons, Gene and Julia Hunsucker of Baton Rouge, La.,
Timothy Scott and Dee De Hunsucker of Denver, N.C., Chris and Donna Hunsucker
of Clinton, Joe and Gail Hunsucker of Andersonville, David Keith and Anne
Hunsucker of Denver, N.C.; grandchildren, John Hunsucker, Andy Hunsucker,
Sarah Hunsucker, Tony Hunsucker, Chris Pruitt, Tracy Pruitt, Patrick Foust,
Lauren Pope, and Ray Pope; great grandson, Calob Pruitt; sister, Dorothy L.
Hunsucker of Knoxville; brother, Nick and Brenda Hunsucker of Reynolds, Ga.;
several nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be conducted 7:00 p.m.
Monday, July 10th at Norris Religious Fellowship Church with Rev. Cliff Amos
officiating. Memorials may be made to Norris Religious Fellowship Church.

LOY, MARY ANN SMITH, - age 65, of Clinton, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2000,
at her residence. She was a member of Farmers Grove Baptist Church, where she
served as church pianist for 47 years, church clerk & treasurer for past 21
years and taught various Sunday school classes. Mrs. Loy was active with the
Anderson Co. Singing Convention for many yrs. and played piano for several
area gospel quartets and groups. She loved to sew and do handicrafts. She was
loved dearly and will be missed by so many. In the mid-1980s, Mary was
diagnosed with Type II Diabetes & became insulin-dependent in 1987. Later,
she suffered from a stroke & then a brain tumor, and cancer spread throughout
her body. In 1990, she retired after 25 years of service from E.G. & G. Ortec
Instruments in Oak Ridge where she worked as an accounting clerk. Through all
her illness, she kept her faith and always had a positive outlook on life.
Preceded in death by husband, J.R. Loy; parents, Fred & Lorene Ellis Smith.
Graduate of Powell High School in 1953, and Knoxville Business School in
1955. Mrs. Loy is survived by her son Mike and his wife Darline Carroll of
Clinton; daughter Delores and her husband Tim Wood of Heiskell; granddaughter
Angela and her husband Bobby Metcalf of Clinton; grandson Jason Wood of
Heiskell; granddaughter Anna Lee Wood of Heiskell; grandson LeVonne Carroll
of Claxton; great grandson Tucker Lee Metcalf of Clinton; brother Robert
"Bob" and his wife Betty Smith of Heiskell; nephew Tim Smith and his children
Tiffany and Timothy "Bo" of Heiskell; nephew Terry Smith, his wife Judy and
their children Andrea, Ben, and Caleb of Heiskell. She also leaves behind
many special friends, neighbors, former classmates, and former co-workers
whom she dearly loved. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m.,
Tuesday, July 11, 2000, at Farmers Grove Baptist Church with funeral service
following at 8:00 p.m., at the church with Rev. Larry Foust, Rev. Moss Beets
& Rev. Kenneth Seiber officiating. Interment will be held 10:30 a.m.,
Wednesday, at Farmers Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Farmers Grove
Bapt. Church, Covenant Hospice of Oak Ridge, or the American Cancer Society.
Pallbearers will be Tim Smith, Terry Smith, Bo Smith, Bobby Metcalf, LeVonne
Carroll, and Jason Wood. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Collins, Tim
Duncan, Austin Franklin, Joshua Graham, Colt Johnson, and Gary Mounger.
