BRADEN, RUTH MAE - age 88, of Briceville, Tennessee, passed away late
Saturday, July 8, 2000 at The Lake City Health Care Center. She was born
February 27, 1912 in Anderson County, Tennessee. She was a member of The
Indian Bluff Baptist Church in Briceville, Tennessee. She is preceded in
death by her parents, Noah Braden and Hannah Smiddy Braden; husband, James
Kelly Braden; children, Eleanor White, Jimmie Inman, Lawrence Braden and
Charles Braden; brothers, Edd Braden and Byrd Braden; sisters, Sallie Braden
and Maggie Goans. Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Norma and Sam
Randolph of Briceville, TN, Tula and James Smartt of Monteagle, TN, Ellen and
Bobby Rains of Lake City, TN; daughters, Waunita Williams of Salem, NJ, Mary
Wilson of Cahokia, Ill and Betty Daugherty of Columbus, GA; son, Roger Braden
of New Delhi, India; daughter-in-law, Lois Braden of Goliad, Texas; sister,
Nancy Byrge of Briceville, TN; 40 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren;
several great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, July
11, 2000 at Cox-Martin Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m.
Wednesday, July 12, 2000 at The Indian Bluff Baptist Church, Briceville, TN
with Reverend Ernest Ward and Reverend Tom Byrge officiating. The body will
lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow the
service at Indian Bluff Cemetery in Briceville, TN. Cox-Martin Funeral Home
in charge.

MOORE, LOU VERNIA - age 89, of the Claxton Community passed away Monday, July
10, 2000 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was a member of
Community Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Will and Florence
Hill; husband, Thomas E. "Dock" Moore; daughter, Emma Marie and son, Charles
E. Moore. Survivors include sons, Howard Moore of Powell, Richard Moore of
Dickson; daughters, Faye Sing and Betty Cooper of Powell, Wilma Thurman of
Halls, Sue Thomas of Clinton and Linda Lee of Knoxville; brothers, Auther
Hill of Speedville and Jerd Hill of Sandusky, Ohio; sisters, Mattie Lucas and
Etha Wilson of Knoxville, Emma Bowman of Sevierville, Zella Davis and
Carlette White of LaFollette, Mildred Harrison of Morristown and Audrey
Coward of New Mexico; 30 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; 14
great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family would like
to thank Fort Sanders 3rd Floor West Staff and East Knoxville Dialysis.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2000 at Woodhaven Funeral
Home with Rev. Clyde Mellon, Rev. Paul Wilson and Rev. Gene Marie
officiating. Interment will follow at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens. The
grandsons will serve as Pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6-9
p.m. Thursday at Woodhaven Funeral Home, 160 Edgemoore Road, Powell, TN.
