Stella Muse Reitz, 87, of St. Cloud, Fla., died on July 11, at her home.
She is preceded in death by husband James Reitz; parents John and Lucinda
Muse of LaFollette; brothers, Isaac, Frank, Charlie, and Nathaniel; sister
Mary.
She is survived by brothers Clyde and Zie Muse of LaFollette, Joseph Muse of
Calif.; sister Pearl McCulley of Missouri.
Funeral services were held July 13, at Fisk Funeral Home with Rev. Dick
Mangham officiating. Interment was in St. Cloud, Fla.
Fisk Funeral Home and Crematory in St. Cloud, Fla., in charge of
arrangements.


Carl Bowlin, 74, of Jellico, died on Tuesday, July 16, at his home.
He is survived by wife Patty Bowlin of Jellico; daughter Anna Mae Middleton
of Jellico; brothers Rollie Bowlin of Goshen, Ind. and Israel Bowlin of
Alexander, Ohio; sisters Jeanette Lindsay of Sandusky, Ohio and Janie
Mattick of Little Rock, Ark.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 19, at Harp Funeral Home Chapel with
Rev. Jerome Walden officiating. Military Honors conducted by Campbell County
Honor Guard. Interment was in the Bowlin Cemetery.


Flossie Elizabeth Campbell, 97, of LaFollette, died on Tuesday, July 16, at
St. Mary's Health and Rehab Center. She was a member of the Ivydell Church
of God.
She was preceded in death by husband Sherman Campbell.
She is survived by son James Campbell of LaFollette; daughters Margaret
Richardson of Florida, Lucille McDonald of Maryville, and Anna Lee Wells and
Mary Evans, both of LaFollette. Several grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 18, at Cross Funeral Home with
Rev. Pat Ayers and Rev. Junior Dilbeck officiating. Interment was in the
Peabody Cemetery.


Bertie L. Collins, 73, of Jacksboro, died on Friday, July 19, at the St.
Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. She was a member of the World Wide
Church of God in Knoxville.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Paul Charles and Clifford
Collins; parents Robert C. and Nellie Ward Wilson; one brother and two
sisters.
She is survived by sons Jerry Herrin of Jacksboro and J. D. Herrin of
LaFollette; daughters Phyllis Boshears of LaFollette; six grandchildren and
seven great-grandchildren; sister Genva Bullock of London, Ky.
Funeral services were held Sunday in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral
Home with John Labissoniere officiating. Interment was in the Baker's Forge
Cemetery.



Daisy Marie Davis, 93, of Jellico, died on Monday, July 15, at the family
residence.
She was preceded in death by husband Bert Davis; mother and father Daniel
and Almedia Baird Lawson; brother John L. Lawson; sister Millie Lawson; one
great-granddaughter.
She is survived by sons Robert (Rob) Davis, David Davis and Dean Davis of
Jellico; daughters Patsy Widenor of Jacksboro, Nancy Hudson of Houston,
Texas, and Wilma Hanson of Des Plaines, Ill.; nine grandchildren, 10
great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 17, at the Llewellyn Funeral Home
Chapel in Jellico with Rev. Bobby Hatfield officiating. Interment was in the
Little Elk Cemetery.


Ethel J. Davis, 89, of Strunk, Ky., formerly of Elk Valley, died on Sunday,
July 21, at the family residence. She was a member of the Elk Valley Church
of God.
She was preceded in death by husband Jessie Mike Davis; parents Horace and
Sally Brooks Jeffers; son, James McKinley Davis; daughters Mary Etta Davis
of R. Meldia Davis; one grandson; brothers Sylvester Jeffers and Chester
Jeffers; and six sisters, Mae Bowling, Laure Perkins, Anna Perkins, Etta
Lewallen, Ollie Garner and Edna Elliott.
She is survived by sons Sherman Maxel Davis of Sidney, Ohio; William Everett
Davis of Norwood, Ohio; and Paul Davis of Strunk, Ky.; daughters Thelma
Baird of Strunk, Ky., Betty Warfield of Strunk, Ky., Ollie Bunch of
Williamsburg, Ky., Glinna Perkins of Sidney, Ohio; and 15 grandchildren, 27
great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 24, at the Cox and Son Chapel
with Rev. Clay Cook and Rev. Johnny Douglas officiating. Interment was in
the Baird Cemetery on Little Elk.


Charles Gibson, 70, of LaFollette, died on Thursday, July 18, at his home.
He was a member of the Long Hollow Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by sons Jimmy and Charles Gibson Jr.; daughter Rita
Fay Gibson; parents Lonzo and Mary McFarland Gibson; sisters Georgia Rogers,
Lois Hicks, Dean Bourff, and Onedia Williams.
He is survived by wife Lois Stanford Gilbson, son Doyle Gibson, and daughter
Darlene Underwood, all of LaFollette; 12 grandchildren and 16
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with Rev.
Tommy Marlow officiating. Interment was in the Stokes Cemetery.
Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Paula E. Sess, 62, of Cincinnati, Ohio, died on Tuesday, July 2 in
LaFollette.
She is survived by husband Jack A. Hess; sons Bill and Scott Rawlings;
stepson Mark A. Hess; stepdaughter Kathy Neumaier; sister Jackie Edwards and
Pam Ziebold; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held July 6, at Schmidt-Dhonau Funeral Home. Memorials
requested to the American Cancer Society.


Kathryn Audrey Robinette, 77, of Clinton, died on Thursday, July 18, at
Baptist Medical Center of Knoxville. She was of the Protestant faith.
She was preceded in death by husband Clarence K. Robinette and parents
Fredrick M. and Malva M. Melton Frazee.
She is survived by daughter Patricia M. Tipton of Jacksboro; three
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brothers Kenneth Frazee of
Oxford, Ohio, and Elvin Frazee of College Corner, Ind.; sister, Nellie
Cornelison of Morristown; Lauretta Yates of Belleville, Mich.
Graveside services were held Monday in Woodlawn Cemetery with Rev. William
P. Livingston officiating.
Martin Wilson Funeral Home of LaFollette was in charge of arrangements.


Eddie Joe Trammell, 63, of Highcliff, Tenn., died on Saturday, July 20, at
Jellico Community Hospital.
He was preceded in death by brother Earl Trammell Jr. and father Earl Tramme
ll.
He is survived by wife Vonda Trammell of Highcliff; son Eddie Ray Trammell
of Jellico; daughters Regina Anderson of Jellico, Vonda Jo Ivey of
Highcliff, and Barbara Lawson of Cane Creek, Ky.; four grandchildren; mother
Bertha Trammell of Highcliff; brother M. A. Trammell of Cincinnati, Ohio;
sisters Betty Baker of Cincinnati, Ohio; Rosemary Lawson of Toledo, Ohio;
Margaret Muse of Cincinnati, Ohio; Anna Lewis Faulkner of Boston, Ky.; Alice
Lawson of Highcliff, Lynda Hurst of Highcliff.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 23, at Harp Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Leonard Siler and Rev. Horace Partin officiating. Interment was in
the Trammell Family Cemetery.


James William Ward, 62, of Caryville, died on Monday, July 15, at St. Mary's
Medical Center Campbell County. He was an U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by parents Bill and Sara McKamey Ward; brothers
Luther Ward, Cordice "Shorty" Ward and Don Ward; sister Evelyn "Ward"
Wallace.
He is survived by wife Pauline (Cross) Ward; sisters Betty (Ward) Smith and
Barbara Ward; brothers Michael Ward; stepmother Myrtle Ward; three
stepsisters and one stepbrother.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 17, at Cross Chapel with Rev.
Bruce Wallace officiating. Interment was in the Campbell Memorial Gardens
with military honors by Campbell County Honor Guard.


Henry Worley, 83, of Jellico, died on Thursday, July 18, at Jellico
Community Hospital.
He is survived by sons Henry Lee Worley of Onieda, Clarence Ray Worley of
Griffin, Ga., Orville Lee Worley of Jellico, Lloyd David Worley of Jellico,
Johnny Cator Worley of Jellico and Lonnie Joe Worley of Jellico; daughters
Shirley Jean Mahan of Georgetown, Ky., Diann Judy of Griffin, Ga., Loretta
Jane McNew of Griffin, Ga., and Rita Jean Davney of LaFollette; 21
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 21, at Harp Funeral Home Chapel with
Rev. Melvin Blankenship officiating. Interment was in the cemetery.


Robert J. Wright, 76, of LaFollette, died on Wednesday, July 17, at UT
Medical Center of Knoxville. He was a member of Fundamental Missionary
Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by parents Maynard and Nannie Wright; brothers
Edward and Sherman of LaFollette; sister Ethel Palmer of Indiana.
He is survived by wife Billie Jean; son Robert (Bobby) Michael Wright;
daughter Doris Jean Gossett; brother Jesse Wright of LaFollette; sister
Florence Hickerson of Manchester, Tenn.; six grandchildren and one
great-grandson.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 20, at the Fundamental Missionary
Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Russell and Rev. Ronnie Poston officiating.
Interment was in the Davis Chapel Cemetery.
Cross Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Gary R. Vincent of Knoxville passed away June 13, 2002, at U.T. Medical
Center as the result of an automobile accident. He is preceded in death by
his father, Radford Lee Vincent and grandparents A. L. and Johnnie Vincent,
all formerly of Jacksboro and John and Lola McNeeley of LaFollette.
He is survived by his mother, Wanda McNeeley Vincent, formerly of
LaFollette, sisters and husbands, Debra Kay and Troy Hundley, Warner
Robbins, GA, Lisa and Brian Bushon-Knoxville, a brother, John Brett Vincent,
Bristol, 2 nieces and 3 nephews, Mr. Vincent was of the Baptist faith and
attended East Tennessee State University and Emory-Riddle Aeronautical
University, Florida.
Services were held June 17, at Woodhaven Funeral Home with interment at
Campbell County Memorial Gardens.
