Clifford Baird, 84, of Jellico died November 17th, 2002 at the Jellico
Community Hospital.
Mr. Baird is survived by son, Harold Baird, Elk Valley; daughter, Geraldine
Lynch, Jellico; 10 stepchildren; brother, Renfro Baird, Pine Knot, Ky;
several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services were November 19th in the chapel of Harp Funeral Home with
Reverend Ray Landis officiating. Interment was in Douglas Cemetery.
Harp Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Martina Rose Blackwell, infant, of Jacksboro died November 13th, 2002.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Susan J. Ewing; great
grandparents, Reverend Earl and Arlene Blackwell and Avery and Helen Short.
Martina is survived by her parents, Joseph and Cynthia A. Blackwell;
brothers, Joseph R. and Jonathan P. Blackwell; sister, Mandise L. Blackwell;
grandparents, Roy A. and Clara L. Blackwell all of Jacksboro.
Funeral services were November 16th in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral
Home with Reverends Ralph Cordell and Rick Howard officiating.
Interment was in Campbell Memorial Gardens.


Gladys Brown,82, of Big Cane Creek , Ky died November 12th, 2002 at Beechtree
Manor in Jellico.
Mrs. Brown is survived by sons, E.J. Brown, Ohio, Paul Lennard Brown, Ky.,
Thomas R. Brown, Fountain City, Ernest Brown, Jellico; two grandchildren;
sister, Ocie Chandler, Ky..
Funeral services were November 15th in the chapel of Harp Funeral home with
the Reverend Horace Partin officiating.
Interment was in Clearfork Cemetery.


Bobby Campbell, 45, of Knoxville died November 11th, 2002.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Curtis Campbell.
Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife, Lisa Campbell; son, Rhett Campbell;
mother, Rosa Campbell, NC; sisters, Dr. Lee Ann Campbell, Wa; Lynne Campbell
Walsh, NC; brother, Eric Campbell, NC.
Funeral services were November 15th in the Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with
Dr. Mike Boyd and Reverend Ron Mouser officiating.
Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.


John Arthur Cass, 69, of Lake City died November 12th, 2002 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his son, Lesley Cass; parents, William and Mona
Cass; brother, Glenn Cass.
Mr. Cass is survived by daughters, Stacie Green, Lake City, Sheryll Phillips,
Lake City, Kay Cass, Ind., Monie Cass- Ford and Diana Deamarest, Fl; several
grandchildren; sister, Janet Cass, Fl; brother, Bill Cass, Ind.
Funeral services were November 14th in the chapel of Holley- Gamble Funeral
Home with the Reverend Chris Thomas officiating.
Interment was in Beech Fork Cemetery.



Carrie Hall Claiborne,90, of LaFollette died November 13th, 2002 at the Berea
Health Care Center, Berea Ky.
She was preceded in death by husband, Everette Roy Claiborne; sisters, Zela
Bruce, Vertie Carr, Ruby Hall. Alma Smith, Allison Hall; brother, Denzil Hall.
Mrs. Claiborne is survived by sons, Paul Claiborne, Ky., Kyle Claiborne,
LaFollette, Don Claiborne, LaFollette; daughters, Pauline Vincent, Ky.,
Virginia Logue, Ind., Mary Katherine Johnson, Ky.; 9 grandchildren; seven
great grandchildren.
Funeral services were November 14th in the Cross Chapel with Reverend Buddy
Butler officiating.
Interment was in Fincastle Cemetery.



Edna Marcum Ford, 81, of LaFollette died November 16th, 2002 at the St.
Mary's Medical Center of Knoxville.
She was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Ford; parents, Lora and Ida Reed
Marcum; brothers, Homer, Clifford and Ralph Marcum; sisters, Bertha Adkins
and Nadine Meredith.
Mrs. Ford is survived by her husband, Henry Ford, LaFollette; three
grandchildren; one great grandchild; sisters Thelma Stanley, Straight Fork,
Ruth Owens, Caryville and Grace Baird, Cleveland.
Funeral services were November 18th in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral
home with the Reverend Asbury Byrd officiating.
Interment was in Valley View Cemetery.


Juanita (New) Hatfield, 78, of Jacksboro died November 16th, 2002 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Hatfield and son, Eugene
Hatfield.
Mrs. Hatfield is survived by her sons, Ronald Hatfield, Ky. and Keith
Hatfield, Jacksboro; daughter, Pat Logan, NM; three grandsons; one great
grandchild; brothers, Ervin New, Fl, Denny New, W. Va., Larry New, Ohio;
sisters, Judy New and Jean Tackett both of W.Va..
Funeral services were November 19th in the Cross Chapel with Tim Mefford and
Jim Wesson officiating.
Interment was in Campbell Memorial Gardens.


Meady Lasley, 57, of Helewood died November 17th, 2002 at the Scott County
Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her father, Goldman Lindsay and sisters, Libby
Gross and Dixie Lindsay.
Mrs. Lasley is survived by her husband, Franklin D. Lasley, Helewood; son,
Dwayne Lasley, Clinton; daughters, Melinda Anderson, Jacksboro and Joann
Hart, Helenwood; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; mother, Georgis
Lindasy, Jacksboro; sisters, Belva Chapman, Martha Swafford and Louise Adkins
all of Jacksboro; Mary Ellen Wallace, Cleveland, Tn; Betty Draughn, Caryville.
Funeral services were November 20th in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral
Home with the Reverends Willis Harness and Johnny Perry officiating.
Interment was in Indian Creek Cemetery.

Colleen M. Myers, 73, of LaFollette died November 12th, 2002 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Myers; parents, Henry Clay and
Cora Cooper Meredith; brothers, Raymond, Woodrow and Clayton Meredith;
sisters, Margaret Bernice Meredith and Lorene Meredith Myers.
Mrs. Myers is survived by sons, Mike Myers, LaFollette, Rick Myers,
Jacksboro; daughter, Cora Deavours, LaFollette; nine grandchildren; brother,
Arnold Meredith, LaFollette; sister, Alberta Smith, LaFollette.
Funeral services were November 15th at the First Independent Missionary
Baptist Church with Reverend Carl Edwards and Brother Gary Russell
officiating.
Interment was in Campbell Memorial Gardens.
Memorial donations may be made to the Campbell County Cancer Association.

Ella Faye Poston,61, of LaFollette died November 15th, 2002 at the St. Mary's
Medical Center of Campbell County.
She was preceded in death by her son, Robert E. Poston; father, Pastor David
Meadows and brother, Eddie Meadows.
Mrs. Poston is survived by her husband, Martin Poston; daughter, Glenna
Giles; mother, Nila Meadows; brothers, Arlis, Arnold, Robert and Paul Meadows
all of LaFollette; sisters, Marie Moore, Speedwell, Shirley Adams, Fl, Betty
Morgan and Norma Jean Helton both of LaFollette.
Funeral services were November 17th in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral
with the Reverends Ovie Bolton and Maynard Parker officiating.
Interment was in Davis Chapel Cemetery.


Lula Prewitt, 83, of Duff died November 11th, 2002 at the Jellico Community
Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Lee Prewitt; parents, Alvis
and Ida Lawson Chadwell; brother, Billy Woodrow Chadwell; sisters, Nancy
Howard Canda and Mary Evelee Chadwell.
Mrs. Prewitt is survived by her daughter, Bobbie Sue Boise, White Oak and
three grandchildren.
Funeral services were November 15th in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral
Home.
Interment was in Chadwell Cemetery.


Linda Joyce Tackett, 49, of Jacksboro died November 10th, 2002.
She was preceded in death by her father, William McKinley Huckaby; brothers,
Joe and Carl Huckaby; sister, Faye Huckaby.
Mrs. Tackett is survived by her husband, Billy R. Tackett; son, Steve
Tackett, Jacksboro; daughter, Kimberly Jeffries, Jacksboro; four
grandchildren; mother, Opal Johnson Huckaby, Ky.; brother, Gary Huckaby, Ky.;
sisters, Sue Hamblin, Mi., Viedia Newsome, Bonnie Hawn and Iva Lee Hamblin
all of Ky., Glenna Vanover, Ky., Jean Sharp, Columbia, Tn. and Donna
Anderson, Jellico.

Home with the Reverends Charlie Wilson and Johnny Rains officiating.
Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery.


Dorothy Jean Tomallo, 66, of LaFollette died November 15th, 2002 at St.
Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville.
She was preceded in death by her son, Terry Tomallo; sister, Nancy Trexller
and brother, Kenny McCloskey.
Mrs. Tomallo is survived by her husband, Charles Tomallo; daughter, Shari
McCloud, LaFollette; son, Mark Tomallo, Ohio; five grandchildren; sisters,
Jean Howell, Pa, Ruth McCarty, Ohio; brothers, Dennis McCloskey, Pa, Larry
and Clem McCloskey boyh of Ohio and Robert McCloskey, Fl.
Funeral services were November 17th at the Walters Chapel with the Reverend
Mike Smith officiating.
Interment was in Sunrise Cemetery.


Lester M. Wagers, 78, of LaFollette died November 16th, 2002 at the Jellico
Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Lizzie Wagers; sisters,
Bessie Teague and Willie Hoskins; brother, Victor Wagers.
Mr. Wagers is survived by his wife, Betty, LaFollette; daughters, Karen
Ridenour, Patricia Reese and Freida Norman all of LaFollette; sons, Ricky
Wagers, J.R. Wagers both of LaFollette; eight grandchildren; sister, Jane
Reynolds, Ky.; half sisters, Polly and Mary Done both of Ky.
Funeral services were November 19th in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral
Home with the Reverends Andrew Ayers and Bill Maxwell officiating.
Interment was in Sharp Cemetery.


Grant Wells, 92, of LaFollette died November 15th, 2002 at the St. Mary's of
Campbell County Health and Rehab Center.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Parker Wells; daughters, Helen
Wells and Margaret Wallace; parents, Charlie and Myrtle Wells.
Mr. Wells is survived by his sons, Ronnie Wells, Va., Jerry Wells,
LaFollette, J.P. Bunch, Oak Ridge; daughter, Mary Fisher, Il, Eva Wells, NC;
several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services were November 17th in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral
Home with the Reverends Ronnie Arnold and Hobert McCreary officiating.
Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery.


Audrey Ruth York, 72, of Lima, Ohio died November 13th, 2002 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Lola Jordan Byrd
Heatherly; husband, Reverend Steve G. York and infant sister.
Mrs. York is survived by her sons, Dan York, Ohio, Joseph Steve York, Ohio;
six grandchildren;11 great grand children.
Graveside funeral services were November 16th at Huddleston Cemetery with
Reverend Willard Smiddy officaiting.
Cox and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
