Hi Ya John,
Yes, our cemeteries take an enormous amount of planning, fundraising, and community involvement. It is too much of a burden for a couple people.
Those of us with the drive and determination have to take the lead and make it happen. The CC Historical Society must surely be active in this. [If they did that half as well as they put out their excellent Newsletter, every cemetery in the County would be in pristine condition in a few years.] <BG>
There are counties across the country that are so active in perpetual restorations, that vandals are afraid to go near them for fear of someone watching.
Campbell Co can do this too. With such great laws, it would be a travesty not to. Many of us in other states have to launch a major court battle to even gain access!
Thanks for taking care of our ancestor's resting place when you were on the job. You, Howard, and Bill are appreciated.
