Hello List:

I got this info from a cousin and checked the info out at ancestry and IT IS TRUE!
They are starting a OneWorldTree service that will cost 40 dollars a year (if you are
a subscriber). If you've uploaded your family tree previously when it was a free
service, and that tree meets their criteria, it will become a part of their PAID
service and you get nothing.

Here's what they said: "If for any reason you do not want your tree to be part of
the new OneWorldTree service, you must delete it from the Ancestry World Tree
database by tentatively May 21, 2004."

So if you don't want your family information to be a part of this OneWorldTree thing,
you'll have to delete your file. The link above will show you what to do.

This Sucks! Genealogy information ought to be free for everyone...
