The Carroll County Courthouse has extended it's Friday hours til 5pm.
The Gordon Browning Museum and Geneological library is open Saturday
mornings for research.

My Dad who lives in Huntingdon sent me some terrible news today. He said that starting
September 1 (already) the Carroll County Courthouse will be closed on Saturdays. They
were open from 8-noon. Since they close at 4:00 pm during the week that is really going
to cut down on research hours. I have spent lots of Saturday mornings going through
marriage books. I live 35 miles away and by the time I can get there after school I
wouldn't have long to work.

I understand them not wanting to work on Saturdays but this throws a damper in research.
At least if they were open 9-5 instead of 8-4 that would be better. Oh well.
