Please allow me to add my line to your info. Also feel free to make
corrections or additions as they would be welcomed.

My Grandmother Ninnie Wade Adams (see below) married Frederick Marvin
Pledger and one of his Half brothers was named George Kimbrough Pledger. I
wonder if there is a Pledger or Phillips or Jones connection.

Asa sold Firearms and supplies to the Confederacy during the Civil
War.-source Rob Marion. Also substanciated by J. E. "Eliel" Pledger who once
said their were soldiers on both sides during the war. Postmaster of Dutchess
Creek, AR Post Office as of 15 Feb 1859. The Post Office was discontinued in
July of 1866.

On 19 Oct 1847 when Asa was 26, he first married Elizabeth Phillips Jones,
daughter of William Spencer Jones & Annie Kimbrough, in Gordon Co. Georgia.
Born on 18 Dec 1828 in North Carolina. Elizabeth Phillips died in Yell Co.,
Arkansas on 3 Aug 1855; she was 26.

She was thought to have Indian blood and her children went to Oklahoma to get
land set aside for American Indians. They took the Family Bible with them as
proof of their relationship.12
