My husband's mother was Hattie Carter, b. 9-11-1904. Her siblings were: Winona, Della, Tom, Dennis, and Homer Carter.(Sumner Co area)

Their parents were: John Henry Carter, b. 1879 and Hassie Mae Lane, b. Aug. 2, 1884.

John Henry Carter"s father was Barney Wilson Carter b. 1848, Smith Co, Tn. Barney's married Martha Sarah Dixon, b. Jan 1, 1857.

John's siblings were : Bud, Johnnie Susanna, George Washingtn, and Laura Belle (according to family records found on the web(?)

There is also another Barney Wilson Carter b.1913 .

Also looking for information on Leonard Carter,( married Georgia Craighead) owner of the Leonard Carter grocery in the Riddleton Community.(Smith County Tn area)
