OBITUARIES

Opal E. TURPIN, 81
SPEEDWEL, Tenn. --- Opeal E. (Toby) TURPIN, 81, passed away Tuesday,
August 1, 2000, at her home.
She was born (ct 18, 1918, in Speedwell, a daughter of the late John
Calvin and Allie (HOUCHINS) YOAKUM. She believed in the Baptist faith.
Surivors include two children, Barbara TURPIN, Knoxville, Tenn., and
Steve TURPIN, Speedwell; a beloved daughter-in-law, Joan TURPIN, Speedwell;
one sister, Gerry YOAKUM McNEELEY, Orlando, Fla.; several grandchildren and
great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services well be conducted at 2 p.m. today at YOAKUM Cemetery
with the Rev. Bob OWENS presiding.
Memorials are suggested to YOAKUM Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund, C/O
Steve TURPIN, 474 YOAKUM Lane, Speedwell, Tenn., 37870
