away March 16, 2002 at the University of Tennessee Hospital.
He was a member MCM Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents:

Ola Mae Owsley Carroll, age 97, of Knoxville, was born February 3,1905 and
passed away March 18, 2002 at Parkwest Medical Center .
She was a resident of the Karns community in Knoxville. She was a graduate
of Lincoln Memorial University and taught elementary school in Claiborne
County during the 1930's. She was preceded in death by husband, Herman Fuson
(Red) Carroll; daughter , Phyllis Ann (Carroll) Hansen.

born April 25, 1910 and passed away on March 21,2002.
He worked from cincinnati, Oh. for Silver Fleet Truck Line and moved to
Knoxville, where he worked at Harrison Construction Co. He worked for Alcoa
in Suriname and Jamaica from which he retired.

John WBinky" Harvey Clemons. age 42, of Harrogate, born December 7, 1959 in
Middlesboro. Ky. , passed away March 22, 2002 in Claiborne County .
He was a son of John Clemons and the late Corrine McCoy Clemons and was of
the Pentecostal Faith. He was a lifelong resident of the area and was
involved in childrens sports and special activities. In addition to his
mother he is preceded in death by mother in law, Betty Leach.

Tazewell and passed away March 25, 2002 at St. Mary's Medical Center .
He professed faith January 5,1942 and was baptized January 11, 1942 by
Jessie Seals at Liberty in the mouth of the spring. He was a member and
ordained as a Deacon October 5, 1997 at New Salem Baptist Church. He worked
five years at a Steel Mill in Kokomo, In. and has been a farmer the rest of
his life. He was in the dairy business for thirty years. He was preceded in
death by his parents: James Henry and Alice R. (Edds) Lewis.

JEWELL REECE Jewell Reece, age 82, of Morristown and formerly of Claiborne
County, was born November 28, 1919 and passed away March 20, 2002 at the
home of her daughter .
She was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by
her parents: Henry and Ettie Reece Coffey; husband, Curtis Reece; daughter,
Helen Jean Reece; grandson, Allen Johns; brothers: Kawood, Clayton and
Morgan Coffey; sister , Alice Hopson and Pauline Coffman.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law: Treva and Lema Clemmons,
Rita and Paul Seals both of Tazewell, Freda and Wayne Partin of Morristown,
Carolyn and Ed Johns of Tazewell; sons and daughters- in-laws: Henley and
Helen Reece of Bean Station, Skip and Janice Reece of Thorn Hill, Jimmy and
Donna Reece of Tazewell; 14 grandchildren: 14 great grandchildren: 3 step
great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23 at Coffey Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Clifton Wilmoth and Howard Beeler officiating. Songs by the
Beech Grove Quartet. Burial In Reece Cemetery.
Pallbearers: John, Ritchie and Michael Painter, Dean Clemmons, Tony Seals
and Adam Reece.

James (Buster) Walker age 75 of Canton Township. Mi. and formerly of
Claibome County. was born June 19.1928 and passed away February 20. 2002.
He married his Wife. Lenore. in 1948. He worked for Ford Motor Co. and was a
deacon for Frenchtown Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by
his parents: James Asia and Mamie (Sweet) Walker .
Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Saturday. February 23 at Frenchtown
Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe, Mi. with Rev. Von Loop, pastor of the
church officiating. Burial in Hillside Cemetery in Belleville.
Survivor include his wife. Lenore Walker; two sons: Gary (JoAnn) of Canton
and Ron (Jill) of St.Louis. Mo.; two daughters: Sherry (Yale) Willoughby of
Fort Meyers. FI., and Robin of Kalamazoo, MI.; two brothers: Clarence of
Monroe, Mi. and Mack of Maynardville; two sistets: Reba Daniels of New
Tazewell and Hazel Kaiser of Maynardville; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-
