Annette Braden. age 67, of New Tazewell, was born April 10, 1935 and
passed away November 25, 2002 At her home.
She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents:
Vineyard Jacob and Lorene (Gilbert) Braden; half brother, Bobby Braden.
Survivors include her brother, Don Braden and wife, Naomi of Monroe.
Mi., half brother, Hollis Braden and wife, Linda of Knoxville, half
sisters, Jewell Bolduc of Cosby and Juanita Eastridge of Andersonville,
uncle, Jim Braden and wife, Stella of Knoxville; nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held 7 p.m. Wednesday. November 27 in Claibome
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Short officiating. Music by the
Liberty Quartet. Burial in Burch Cemetery,
New Tazewell.

Ernest Franklin Cook, age 79, of Clarksville and formerly of Tazewell,
was born November 1, 1923 and passed away November 5, 2002.
He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and a veteran of WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Fielden and Donia Cook, 2
brothers, Evert and Lawrence, I sister, Esther Venable.
Survivors include his wife, Sophia, daughter, Lisa Der of New Hampshire,
son, Bryan Cook of Arizona; 3 sisters, Etta Jenkins of Maryville, Edith
Wagner and Charlene Winters of Ohio;1 brother, Clyde Cook of
Andersonville; 6 nephews; 5 nieces; a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Saturday. November 9 at Coffey
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Lewis and Rev. Paul Collingsworth
officiating, Burial in Cook/Pleasant View Cemetery with military honors.
Pallbearers: Gary Venable, David and Bill Wagner , Michael, Stephen and
Bob Winters, Wayne Cook and C.L. Nunn.

Minnie Bell Bolden Dishman, age 105, was born August 20, 1897 in Hancock
County and passed away November 27, 2002.
She was saved at age 9 and was one of the original members of Caney
Valley American Christian Church in Tazewell. She had 16 children with
Ephram Bolden. She was preceded in death by her parents: Hilton and Mary
Bell; all her brothers and sisters; husbands: Ephram Bolden and Kellum
Dishman; 5 babies and children: Cledith Bolden, Alice Ulmer, Ellie
McDaniel Barnard and Clyde Bolden.
Survivors include her sons and wives: Hubert and Elizabeth Bolden,
Raymond and Joyce Bolden, Claude Bolden; daughters and husband: Pearl
and Bobby Hoffner, Ruby and Rex Ogle, Joyce and Victor Baker , Gladys
Roberts; sons-in- law: Buford Barnard and Richard Ulmer; 38
grandchildren; 65 great grandchildren; 43 great great grandchildren;
many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Saturday, November 30 at Coffey
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Epperson and Rev. Tommy Russell
officiating. Songs by the Green Family and the Epperson Family. Burial
in Epperson-Asbury Cemetery .

Larry R. Fanner, age 65, of Thorn Hill, was born January 6,1937 and
passed away November 27, 2002 at Morristown Hamblen Hospital,
He was of the Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his father.
Gerald Farmer; 2 brothers: Doug and Stanley Farmer: sister-in-Iaw, Diana
Farmer; son-in-law, Sonny Snead,
Survivors include his Wife of 42 years, Edna Hayes Farmer; daughters:
Sabra Snead and fiance, Bill Johnson. Felicity and Arthur Vick, Zenja
Farmer and former son-in-law, Troy West all of Thorn Hill;
Grandchildren Trendy Brooks, Gyver, Douglas, Aric and Elsie Vick; mother
, Mrs. Sarah Riddle Farmer of Rutledge; brothers and sister-in-law;
Arnold "Penny" and Jean Farmer of Miamisburg, Oh,; sister-in-law,
Bernell Farmer of Thorn Hill: special nephew, Craig Farmer: several
other nieces, nephews. other relatives and friends.
Funeral services! were held 6 p,m; Sunday. December 1 in Coffey Funeral
home Chapel with Rev. Curt Reed. Coffey Funeral Home in charge.
Ruby Campbell Stanifer, age 76, passed away December 1, 2002.
She was a former resident of New Tazewell, where she was raised and
spent most of her adult life, She was a member of New Tazewell United
Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her father and mother:
Lon M. and Emma Campbell; her children's father , Lynn Stanifer .
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Mike and Rita Stanifer of
Pikeville; daughter and son-in- law: Jody and David Gregory of
Covington, Ga.;
sister, Mary Jo Fine of Morristown; granddaughters: Alexis Lynn Reece
and Tia Marie Stanifer; soon to be great granddaughter, Grace Campbell
The family will receive friends from 4-9 p;m. Wednesday, December 4 at
Claiborne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1, p.m. Thursday,
December 5 at New Tazewell United Methodist Church With Rev. Eddie
Overholt officiating. Music by Janice Derreberry.Burial in Irish
Cemetery, Tazewell.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to New Tazewell
United Methodist church.

Colby Robert Winstead age 18, of New Tazewell, was born February 14,
1984 and passed away November 30, 2002. He was baptized and joined the
Sneedville Methodist Church where he remained a member. He was a
graduate of Claiborne County High School where he was a member of the
golf and tennis teams.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Morgan J."Doc" and Mary
McCay Bailey.
Survivors include his parents: Robert and Jane Winstead of New Tazewell;
brothers: Captain Morgan Southern of Fort Benning, Ga., Matthew Southern
of Sneedville; sister, McKenzie Southern Collins of New Tazewell; niece,
Emma Jane Collins of New Tazewell; grandparents: Kenny and Thelma
Winstead of Sneedville; special friend, Will Pierce of LaFollette,
Funeral services were held 8 p.m. Monday, December 2 in Claiborne
Funeral Home Chapel With Rev. Edwin J. Doerr,Jr. officiating. Eulogy by
Dennis Morgan Bailey. Burial was held Tuesday, December 3 in the Bailey
Cemetery, Tazewell.
Pallbearers: Dennis Morgan Bailey ,Will Pierce, Ben Hoe, Lucas Hoe, Matt
Jones, Joseph Essary and Derek Howard.
