Came William D. Sharp, guardian of Barbary and Betsy Wilson, heirs of
Hambleton Wilson, dec'd to make settlement. Guardian was found chargeable as
follows: to amt due on settlement with John Peterson, former Clerk of the
Court on 3 Aug 1860. Guardian reports that rent was collected for years 1861,
but years 1862 and 1863 could not rent at all. The years 1864 and 1865 in the
possession of Sampson Wilson, no rents or profits rec for those two years,
the rents taken by the Federal Soldiers and not accounted for by any person.
1866, rented to J. H. Agee; years 1867 and 1868, rented to J. H. Agee. Year
1869, rented to J. H. Agee; year 1870, rented to J. H. Agee; year 1871, could
not rent at all; year 1872, rented to J. H. Agee. Guardian is entitled to the
following credits: Tax receipts from S. Hunter for year 1865; from A Myers
for year 1866; tax rec from S. Hunter for year 1864; tax rec from E. Baker
for year 1871. Tax to be paid for year 1872 . Tax rec from year 1867 . Tax to
be paid for year 1861, 1862, 1863. Paid William Parker and William Dial for
repairs for the year 1861. Paid Reuben Craig for repairs for 2 yrs he had it,
1 yr taxes not counted. The said John Wilson accepted of said settlement and
filed with the Clerk of the county his Power of Attorney which were in the
words and figures following to wit.
Barbary Miller and Elizabeth Ivans of Worth County, MO, have made constituted
and appointed and by these present do make constitute and appoint John Wilson
of Worth County, MO our true and lawful attorney for us and in our name and
for use to ask, demand, sue for, recover and receive all such sum or sums of
money, debts, woods, wares or other demands whatsoever which are or shall be
due owing payable and belonging to us by any manner or means whatsoever
especially all of our interest in the Estate of Hamelton Wilson to sell,
grant, covey all lands belonging to said ..........
