Iva A. Thompson, 86, of Riverview, formerly of Monroe, died at 9:20 a.m.
Thursday at Maplewood Manor in Monroe.
Private services will be held. Arrangements will be by Ford Chapel
Allore Martenson Funeral Home, Rockwood. Burial will be in Oakridge
Cemetery Flat Rock. Born Oct.l, 1916, in TazeweIl, Tenn., she was the
daughter of Tillman and Virginia (Morison) Williams. She married Robert
Haygood in 1936. He died. She then married David Thompson in 1959. He
died.
She was employed at the bomber plant in Willow Run and was an assembler
at Kelsey Hayes in Monroe.
She is survived by two sons, Tillman (Lisa) Thompson of New Hampshire,
and Robert (Linda) Haygood of Melvindale; a daughter, Noleca (Lawrence)
Cunningham of Monroe; 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, nine sisters and both
husbands.
