Nancy:
Was really glad to see the pictures of the Claiborne Co. Reunion and of most of those that attended. I know I have corresponded with you before but thought maybe you could give me some help or at least steering me in the right direction. Denny Brubaker has given me the html on Joseph Clark and Nancy Ann Smith but for the most part it shows more of the Simmons side and not much on the Clarks. I know that you are researching the Clarks in Claiborne Co. and hopefully somewhere in your research you may have run across my line. I am fairly sure that Joseph Clark and Nancy Ann Smith are the line I need to pursue but I have not been able to find anyone who might have a Clark or a Jesse William Dalton connection. I am especially interested in the child of William Clark, son of Joseph Clark. Do you have the names of all of Joseph and Nancy Smith Clarks children?
I really need some help. Hope you can give me some direction or information.
I have contacted the TVA map office to try and get a map of the area from 1800 to 1839. I show that there was land given to William Clark, son of Joseph Clark and William Clark to his daughter Nancy Smith Clark Dalton and William Reeder/Reader Clark and also land sold to Jesse William Dalton.

Do you know when the TVA started the Norris Lake Reservior?? Is this why Jesse & family moved to Missouri as well as Joseph Clark and William Clark? I have tried to get an index of the various maps from the TVA for this area but twice I have emailed them and have never received a response. Any suggestions as to how to contact them
I was supposed to make a trip to Claiborne Co., last year but unfortunately was diagonsed with breast cancer and was unable to make the trip. It doesn't look like I will be able to do it this year either.
I know this is rather long but wanted to give you as much information as I could. I have many more questions and hopefully you can help me or steer me in the right direction or put me in touch with someone who might be able to help.
Thanks
Shirley Kovar
