Don Edward Beeler, age 75, of Washburn, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2006
at his home.

He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his
parents: Adron and Mattie Beeler; brothers: Thomas Beeler and Bill Beeler;
sister: Hazel Lester.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years: Wanda Beeler; children: Doug
Beeler; special daughter-in-law: Betty Beeler of New Tazewell; Vickie Beeler
and special friends: Sue Neubert of Corryton; daughter: Cindy McGinnis and
special son-in-law Ken McGinnis of Washburn; son: Greg Beeler and special
daughter-in-law: Sonya Beeler of Luttrell; grandchildren: Shannon Beeler, Brent Beeler,
Malcolm Beeler, Katrina Welch, April Sanders, Chelsey Beeler, Mindy Beeler,
Kim Hurley, Kevin Widner, Linda Whitaker, Donna Helton, Joe McGinnis; loving

Cemetery.

Bill Brewer, age 68, of Morristown, formerly of Hancock County, was born
October 1, 1937 and passed away February 4, 2006 at his home.

Bill professed faith in Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents:
Aubrey and Ethel Brewer; brother: Clarence Brewer; sisters: Ruth Lambert, Dorothy
Brewer and Beatrice Brewer.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years: Mildred Brewer; daughter: Tonya
Brewer and son Scott Brewer; grandchildren: Lakita Brewer, Candice Short, Dennis
Riner and wife Ashley, and Derek Fugate; great grandchildren: Brooklyn and
Bailey Short; sisters: Sharon Alvarez of Morristown, Frances Hendrickson of New
Tazewell; brothers: John Brewer, Vester Brewer and Ray Brewer of Ohio; special
friends: Don Seals and Joe Manuel; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Monday, February 6 at 2 p.m. at Coffey Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Mark Sutton officiating. Internment in the Greene Cemetery at
Snake Hollow.

DOROTHY CUTSHAW







Dorothy Cutshaw, age 75, of New Tazewell, was born on March 20, 1930 and
passed away on February 4, 2006.

She attended faithfully at Straight Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in
death by husband: Arthur "Dude" Cutshaw of 49 years; parents: Horace and
Ester Yoakum.

She is survived by daughters: Carolyn Cutshaw and special friend Charles
Mallicoat of New Tazewell, Gail and husband Robert Powell of New Tazewell; three
grandchildren: Brandi Hinkle, Wayne Hinkle, and Kayla Starns; one great
granddaughter: Lexi Grace England; brothers: Scott and wife Margaret Yoakum of
Monroe, Mi, Bill and wife Wilma Yoakum of Monroe, Mi; other nieces, nephews,
relatives and friends.

A special thank you to Dr. Russell Devore and the Baker Cancer Center, Pam
and Holly with Housecall Home Health Care, and Diane and Peggy at Adventa
Hospice.

Funeral services were Tuesday, February 7 at 10 a.m. in the Claiborne Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Poore officiating. Music by the Straight Creek
Church Choir. Burial in the Burch Cemetery.

JAMES E. DOWNS, M.D







James E. Downs, M.D., was born December 14, 1927 in Schenectady, Ny and
passed away Monday, January 30, 2006 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish since 1957, and of the 3rd and 4th
degree Knights of Columbus. After graduating from Dannemora High School in 1944,
he attended Midshipman N.Y.S. Maritime Academy from 1945-46, then attended St.
Michaels's College from1944-45, 1946-47 where he received his BA, he received
his M.D. from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in 1951 and
received his internship from the U.S. Naval Hospital in St. Albans. James was an
active Duty U.S. Navy veteran from 1951-53 and an active Reservist from 1953-55.
He was Honorably discharged as a Lt. MC USNR. James then received his
residency of Anesthesiology at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, NYC in 1953-1955. He
started his practice of Anesthesiology in Knoxville in 1955 and was one of the
three original founding physicians of the Knoxville Anesthesia Group. His
early years of practice included all the local area hospitals. Dr. Downs saw the
start of the Departments of Anesthesia, Recovery Rooms and Intensive Care
Units. In the early 60's his practice became limited to St. MaryĆ¢s Memorial
Hospital and the Chest Disease Hospital. In 1968, he served on rotation with Project
Hope in Sri Lanka (Ceylon). Dr. Downs was a diplomat of the American Board of
Anesthesiology, a member of the American Medical Association, the American
College of Anesthesiology, the Tennessee Medical Association, the Knoxville
Academy of Medicine, and the American Society of Anesthesiology. He retired from
active practice in 1990. He is preceded in death by: parents: James D. Downs and
Valerie M. Lyons Downs of Dannemora, Ny; first wife: Carolyn M. Spence Downs;
son: Michael J. Downs.

He is survived by wife: Doby Noles Downs; son and daughter-in-law: Patrick
and Charito Downs of Harrogate; step son and daughter-in-law: Rick and Laura
Noles; grandchildren: Daniel and Brian Noles of Knoxville.

Funeral Mass was held Wednesday, February 1 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart
Cathedral with Father Xavier Mankel officiating. Interment at St. Joseph's
Cemetery, Dannemora, Ny at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to
Interfaith Health Clinic, 315 Gill Ave. Knoxville, TN. 37917 or to the charity of

Eula Hall Dunn, age 81, of Baltimore, Md, formerly of Speedwell, was born
October 21, 1924 and passed away January 31, 2006.

She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest L. Dunn; devoted mother of Jane
K. Dunn-Haines and her husband, Michael; loving grandmother of Sarah J. and
Ashley K. Haines; dear sister of Charlene (Verlin) Maddox of Speedwell and
Florence Basso; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Monday, February 6 at 10 a.m. at Cawood United

Jerry Noel Ellison, age 68 of Tazewell, was born on October 11, 1937 and
passed away on January 26, 2006 at Claiborne County Hospital.

He was a member of Midway Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his
parents: Newt and Anna Ellison; brothers: Earl, Bennie, and James Ellison;
sisters: Bonnie, Leota, and Ostis; first wife: Shirley Ellison.

He is survived by wife: Nancy Ellison; daughters: Rhonda Sue Gilmore of
Brentwood, Rhonda Lynn and husband Danny Pierce of Lafollette; grandchildren: Nick
and Travis Selleh, Sammy Gilmore all of Brentwood, Jacob Conner Pierce of
Lafollette; one special granddaughter: Chelsi Farmer of Soddy Daisy; sisters:
Betty Atkins of Oakridge, Nada and husband Kenneth Clarkson of Goldsboro, Nc; and
a host of family and friends.

Graveside service was held Sunday, January 29 at 2 p.m. in the Riverview
Cemetery with military honors from the Robin's Air Force Honor Guard. Rev. Ronnie
Pressnell officiating.

Alta Ruby (Ramsey) Hurley, age 82, of Tazewell, was born August 22, 1923 and
passed away Saturday, February 4, 2006 at the Select Specialty Hospital in
Knoxville.

She was a member of House of God Worship Center. She was preceded in death by
husband: Edward E. Hurley; parents: William and Molly Ramsey; daughter:
Myrtle Naoma Hurley; brothers: Bascum Ramsey, Sid Ramsey, Tom Ramsey, Charlie
Ramsey, Rosevelt Ramsey; sisters: Emma Ramsey, Mae Ramsey, Easter England, and
Betty Keene.

She is survived by sons: William H. Hurley, Eugene and wife Bonnie Hurley,
Doyle and wife Mary Hurley all of Tazewell, John and wife Linda Hurley of
Pineville, Ky, George and Rhonda Hurley of Harrogate; daughters: Brenda and husband
Joe Mincey of Tazewell, Linda and husband Jim Willoghby of Tazewell; 14

Polly Mae (Webb) Jordon, of Maynardville, formerly of Lone Mountain, was born
June 25, 1909 and passed away on February 4, 2006 at her home in Maynardville.

Polly was a member of Pleasant Gap Baptist Church. She was preceded in death
by husband: Clay Jordon; sons: Charles (Jack), Roy (Bill) and Jimmy Jordon;
daughter: Katherine (Julie) Usry; grandsons: Ronnie and Stanley Jordon, Tony
Proffitt; great granddaughter: Ashley Proffitt.

She is survived by: Walter and Mary Jordon of Warren, Mi, Jean and Roy
Merritt of Heiskell, Juanita and James Cabbage of Maynardville; son-in-law: William
Usry of Tucson, Az, and Bobby Loop of Lone Mountain; 13 grandchildren; several
great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a host of relatives and
friends.

Jessie Lemons, age 67, of Tazewell, was born March 30, 1938 and passed away
January 29, 2006 at his home.

He believed in the Baptist Faith. He accepted the Lord approximately 27 years
ago. He was preceded in death by his parents: Hubert and Susie (Taylor)
Lemons; son: Steven Lemons; five brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his son: Jason and wife Jennifer Lemons; daughter: Debbie
and husband Johnny Goins all of Tazewell; daughter-in-law: Glenda Lemons of
Sneedville; grandsons: Dustin "Poppy" Goins, Aaron David Goins, Michael David
Lemons all of Tazewell, Shawn Lemons of Sneedville; granddaughter: Alyssa Lemons
of Tazewell; ex-wife: Elizabeth Rouse Lemons of Tazewell; brothers: Arie and
wife Becky Lemons of Saginaw, Mi, Carl Lemons of Tazewell; sisters: Joyce,

Peggy Ann McMurry, age 61, of Powell, was born February 6, 1944 and passed
away February 3, 2006 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital in Knoxville.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Margaret West Young;
brothers: John Henry, Richard (Bear), Lillard Young; sisters: Gladys Lane, Dell
Johnson; one daughter: Kimberly Young.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Stanley and Shannon Buell of
Cornila, Ga; daughters: Penny Buell of Powell, Kathryn Buell of Gainesville,
Ga, Alicia McGinnis of Brazelton, Va; grandchildren: Santana, Daniel,
Elizabeth, Samuel; brother: Ernest Young of Shelbyville; several nieces, nephews and

2006 at Claiborne County Hospital.

She was saved at an early age at Lily Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded
in death by her father: Ricky Webb; grandparents: Molly Webb, Billy and Ethel
Miracle.

She is survived by her husband: Bobby Joe Raby; son: Joshua Raby both of New
Tazewell; mother: Phyllis Webb of Tazewell; brothers and sisters-in-law: Wayne
and April Webb, Dave and Misty Webb all of Rogersville; several aunts,
uncles, nieces and nephews; special friends: Robert Smith, Gary Joe Davis, Parlin
Mabe, Glen Pierce, and Charlie Williams.

Rita was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church of Maynardville and a veteran
of the U.S. Army. She was preceded in death by grandparents: Silas and Murlie
Bull, James and Louiza Pratt; father: Martin Pratt.

She is survived by her husband: Jon Rondeau; mother: Edith Pratt of
Maynardville; brothers: Randy Pratt and wife Sandy of New Tazewell, Ronnie Pratt and
wife Carol of Maynardville; nephews: Aaron and Tyler Pratt of Maynardville,
Blake and Nolan Pratt of New Tazewell.
