Lee (Jiggs) Fannon, age 75, of New Tazewell, was born May 24, 1932 and passed
away on June 29, 2007 at his home.

He was a lifelong member of Young's Chapel Baptist Church. Retired from
Centurytel Telephone Company in 1996, Korean War Veteran, Graduate of Claiborne
County High School. He was preceded in death by his parents: Rowe and Esther

He is survived by his sons: Jeffrey Fannon of Knoxville, David Fannon of
Chattanooga; brother and sister-in-law: Don Ray and Judy Fannon of New Tazewell;
nephew: Jerry Martin Fannon of Birmingham, Al.; niece: Faith Fannon of New
Tazewell; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Monday, July 2 at 7 p.m. at Coffey Funeral Home with
Rev. Junior Snelson officiating. Songs by the Goins Family. Burial in the Irish
Memorial Gardens with military honors.

Fannon and Bill Snodgrass, Charles Jarnigan

Nellie Marion Ferguson, age 75, of Tazewell, born January 16, 1932 and passed
away on June 29, 2007 at the Claiborne County Nursing Home.

Marion was a 1950 graduate of Claiborne County High School where she was
Valedictorian of her Senior Class. In 1954 she graduated with honors from Lincoln
Memorial University. After graduation from college, Marion was employed as a
chemist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory for more than forty years. Following
her retirement from ORNL, Marion made her home in Tazewell, where she was a
member of Tazewell Baptist Church. Marion was preceded in death by her parents:
Marion J. and Lennie Ferguson; grandparents: Mack and Lucy Ferguson, and Paris
and Rachel Rosenbalm; one brother: Kenneth Ferguson; two sisters-in-laws: Jean
Ferguson and Billie Ferguson; two brothers-in-laws: Billy P. Campbell and
Howard A. Bailey.

Marion is survived by one brother: James E. Ferguson of Oak Ridge; sisters:
Ruth Ferguson and Ruby Bailey of Tazewell; sister and brother-in-law: Berylene
and Edward Owings of Rockwood; sister-in-law: Pauline Ferguson of Tazewell;
nephews: Randall Ferguson and wife, Brenda, James H. Bailey of Tazewell, Kenneth
Ferguson of Louisville, and James R. Ferguson, and wife, Mary of Knoxville;
nieces: Mary Ruth Bailey, Yvonne Williams and husband, Donnie of Tazewell,
Melinda Janeway and deceased husband, Greg of Rex, Ga. and Rhonda Madewell and
husband, Ron of Oak Ridge; great nephews: Scott Ferguson of Lebanon, and Mike
Higginbotham of Oak Ridge; great nieces: Keri Ferguson of Tazewell, Heather Poore
of New Tazewell, Felicia Miller of Rex, Ga. and Kimberly Higginbotham of Oak

Funeral services were Sunday, July 1 at 7 p.m. in the Coffey Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Mike Alexander conducting the ceremony and music by the Tazewell
Baptist Church Choir. Interment in the Irish Cemetery.

Ferguson, Scott Ferguson, Donnie Williams, Ron Madewell, and Mike Higginbotham

Myrtle Louella Green, age 93, of New Tazewell, was born July 25, 1913 and
passed away June 27, 2007.

She was a member of Duncan Chapel Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the
late Lidy and Nettie Cline. She was preceded in death by her husband: Daniel
Green; son-in-law: Carl Goins; daughter-in-law: Dossie Green; several brothers
and sisters.

She is survived by her son: J.C. Green of New Tazewell; daughter: Inez Goins
of New Tazewell; grandchildren: Mary and husband Mickey Martin of Niota,
Martha Maples of New Tazewell, Barbara and husband James Lambert of Tazewell,
Brenda and husband Bob Eads of Tazewell, Lynn and husband David Barnard of
Tazewell, Paulette and husband Ricky Earls of Harrogate, Marcella and husband Steve
Moyers of Tazewell, Jeff Goins of New Tazewell; brother-in-law: Dana and wife
Mollie Green of Monroe, Mi.; sisters-in-law: Anna Mae Cochran of New Tazewell,
Hassie Cline of Knoxville; 14 great grandchildren; eight great-great
grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. in the Claiborne
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Moyers and Rev. James Lambert officiating.
Music by The Alder Springs Quartet. Burial in the Irish Memorial Gardens.

Wanda Faye Johnson, age 54, of Tazewell, was born December 14, 1952 and
passed away June 27, 2007 at the Baptist Hospital in Knoxville.

She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother and a friend to all that
knew her. She was an inspiration to everyone that knew her and was loved and
touched by all she met. She was a member and instructor with the Broken Spur
Line Dance Club and a member of Cave Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded
in death by her son: Brandon Jason (BJ) Long; father: Kenneth F. Hurst;
brothers: Dennis Earl and Kenneth Wayne (Buddy) Hurst.

She is survived by her husband: Robert Johnson; children, sons: Douglas Long
and Phillip Johnson; daughters: Michelle and Danny Parker, Brandi and Rex
Callebs, Jennifer Johnson; grandchildren: Gage, Anna, Hadley and Jadyn. She is
also survived by her mother: Ruby Hurst; sisters: Lucy Moyers and fianc/, James
Allen, Joyce Young and husband Doug, Sharron McGuire and her husband Steve;
nephews: Andy Hurst, Matthew Young, Kent, Benjamin and Jeffery McGuire; nieces:
Teresa and Brian Lemarr, Kathy Petrey, Leigh Young, Jennifer and Stevie
Snodgrass, Laura Hurst; great grandnieces and nephews: Michael and Cody Lemarr,
Stephanie and Whitney Petrey, James and Tyler Snodgrass, Lily Bell Hurst, Kayla
Fultz and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.

Funeral services were Sunday, July 1 at 11 a.m. at the Coffey Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. John Hatfield and Rev. Jim Blevins officiating. Songs by
Barbara Hatfield and David Painter. Burial in the Cave Springs Cemetery.

Kathleen Brooks Chumley, age 82, of Maryville, formerly of Tazewell, was born
May 3, 1925 and passed away June 24, 2007 at the Asbury Place in Maryville.

She was a member of Riverview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by
her husband: Roy Chumley; parents: Levi and Myrtle Brooks; brother: Lester,
Warren and Estel; sisters: Lucille and Jane.

She is survived by her daughter: Brenda Chumley of Maryville, formerly of
Tazewell; three sisters: June of Illinois, Grace of Michigan, Queenie of
Kentucky; brother: Franklin of Utah; four sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and a
host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Graveside service was held Thursday, June 28 at 2:30 p.m. at the Riverview
Cemetery with Rev. Cecil Fultz officiating.

Mary Louise Palmer, age 60, of New Tazewell, was born March 26, 1947 in
Holbrook Aa. and passed away at her home June 25, 2007.

She was the daughter of the late Antonio and Ida Gonzales Rios. She was
preceded in death by granddaughter: Kayla Palmer; brothers: Robert Nevarez and
Andrew Rodriguez.

She is survived by her husband: Ronald Palmer of New Tazewell; three
children: Brian (Dena) Palmer, Gary (Raul) Palmer, Audie (Ruth) Palmer; grandchildren:
Brittany and Brandon Palmer; brothers: Tony Rios and Manuel Rodriguez;
sister: Elizabeth Morales.

A memorial service was held for family on June 30, 2007 with Rev. Joshua
Fields officiating.

Woodrow E. Chumley, age 90, of Cumberland Gap, was born March 6, 1917 and
passed away June 29, 2007.

He was the son of the late Van Weams and Dellar Bussell Chumley. He was a
member of Underwood Grove Baptist Church and Shawanee Masonic Lodge #546. In
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Sarah Dephew
Chumley; brothers: Otis, Lewis, George, Henley, Estel and John Chumley; sisters:
Agnes Gordon and Minnie Powell.

He is survived by his sons: Cordice (Ann) Chumley of Shawanee and James
Chumley of Cumberland Gap; brothers: Fred, Haynes, Harley and Clyde Chumley;
sister: Hassie Lay; grandchildren: Susan (Spencer) Ruggiero, Toni (Bruce) Stanhope,
Darrell (Leslie) Chumley, Kenny (Gail) Chumley; great-grandchildren: Tyler and
Victoria Stanhope, Grayson and Teddi Anne Robinson, Sarah, Thomas, Jessica,
and Dakota Chumley, and Josh Graves; several nieces, nephews and a host of
family and friends.

Funeral services were Monday, July 2 at 10 a.m. at Underwood Grove Baptist
Church with Rev. Marvin Simmons officiating. Music by Frank Chumley, Phillip
Powers and Chris Wilburn. Burial in The Chumley Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Kenny Chumley, Eddie Chumley, Jake Hawkins, Jerry Chumley,
Kelley Chumley, and Steve Chumley. Honorary pallbearers: Tyler Stanhope, Grayson
Robinson, Thomas Chumley and Dakota Chumley.
