Alta Christine Coffey Coffman, age 84, of Washburn, passed away Saturday,
August 4, 2007 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, with her family by her

She was saved early in life at Dotson's Campground Methodist Church. She
later joined Bridgeport Missionary Baptist Church where she was a dedicated
Christian and served as Sunday School Secretary and Treasurer for many years. She
was preceded in death by husband: Conley Coffman; two infant sons Douglas and
Dennis Coffman; parents: Rev. Tarrence and Susan Coffey, father and
mother-in-law: Dan and Stella Coffman; sister and brother-in-law: Kathleen and L.C.
Rucker; brother: Rev. Avery Coffey; brothers-in-law: Elvin Harrell, James (Woody)
Long, Leonard (Lynn) Dalton, and Clyde (Sam) Jones, Kenneth Coffman and wife
Edna; former son-in-law: Charles Ellis.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law: Larry and Lynda Coffman of
Jefferson City; daughters and sons-in-law: Brenda and Kenneth Scearce of Washburn,
Darlene and Larry Talley of Whitesburg; daughters: Debbie Dalton of Sneedville,
Diana Hayes of Morristown; sisters: Lillian Harrell of Thorn Hill, Juanita
Long and Delta Dalton of Washburn; brothers and sisters-in-law: Rev. Samuel and
Lena Coffey of Thorn Hill, William and Mary Lou Coffey of Davisburg, Mi.;
brother-in-law: Carter Coffman and wife Mary of Luttrell; sisters-in-law: Berneze
McCarroll and husband H.E. of Knoxville, Louise Williams and husband C.H. of
Mesa, Az., Margie Sharpe and husband Bob of Maynardville; 15 grandchildren; 24
great grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; and a host of others
relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Tuesday, August 7 at 2 p.m. at the Bridgeport
Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Lonnie Douglas and Rev. Lyndall Welch officiating.
Songs by Howard Coffman, Mary Sue Jackson, Ray and Bonnie Rucker, Anita
Harrell and Wendall Sturgill. Burial in the Dalton Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Wayne Coffman, Mark Coffman, Kenny Scearce, Bobby Hayes, John
Hayes, Chad Hensly, Todd Carroll. Honorary Pallbearers: Ministers and Deacons
Bridgeport Baptist Church.

Gregory Keith Collins, age 48, of New Tazewell, was born August 3, 1958 and
passed away August 1, 2007 at Claiborne County Hospital.

He was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Highland Baptist Church. He was
preceded in death by his first wife: Kathy Collins; father: Conley Von Collins,
Jr.; step-father: Ken Widner; brother: Lynn Collins.

He is survived by his mother: Willa Mae Widner; son: Greg Collins; daughter:
Heather Collins; very, very special grandbabies: Colton and Kendell Collins;
sisters and brothers-in-law: Sandy and Dwayne Wilder, Vickie and Junior Poore;
brother: Dustin Collins; special sister-in-law: Sherri Collins; special
daughter-in-law: Leslie Collins; special soon to be son-in-law: Roger "Truck" Loop,
Jr.; nieces and nephews: Stacy Hager, Jessica and Mike Hollin, Morgan and Jodi
Keck, Trysten Collins; special great nieces and nephews: Ryley Hager, Hayden
Hollin, Gabe Keck, Preslee Delph; special step-kids: Ashlynn Gallaty, Jami
Holland and Niki McGeorge; and a host of special relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Saturday, August 4 at 2 p.m. in the Coffey Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Willard Wilder and Josh Collins officiating. Songs by the
Collins Family. Burial in the Irish Memorial Gardens.

Boyd Kermit Rogers, age 88, of Speedwell, was born in Claiborne County on
April 25, 1919 and went home to be with his Lord on July 29, 2007 at the
Claiborne County Hospital.

Since his youth he has been a very active member of the Mountain View United
Methodist Church and for many years, he served as the church treasurer. He
graduated from Powell Valley High School in 1938 and graduated from Draughons
Business College in Knoxville. He was veteran of World War II having served in
the Pacific Theatre. Boyd was a retired farmer and for many years he was a
Director in the Claiborne Farmers Co-Op. He was preceded in death by his father and
mother: William and Kate Sharp Rogers; step-mothers: Lula Carr Rogers, Grace
Ball Rogers and Mattie Sharp Rogers; sister: Martha Elizabeth Rogers;
father-in-law and mother-in-law: Bob and Anna Sharp; brother-in-law: John Sharp and
wife Ethel.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years: Glenna Sharp Rogers: son:
Robert William Rogers; brother: Bill Rogers and wife Connie of Cochran, Ga.;
sister-in-law: Wilma Sharp; nieces and nephews: Judy Wilmoth and husband Charles,
Scott Rogers and wife Sallie, Christine Rogers, Rachel Rogers; and several
great nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.

Funeral services were Wednesday, August 1 at 8 p.m. in the Coffey Funeral
Home Chapel in Harrogate with Rev. Dr. Herman Cate officiating. Songs by
Harrogate United Methodist Church Choir, Charles Welch JR., and Ruth Bruce. Burial in
the Carr Cemetery with Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mountain View Methodist
Church, 1070 Old Hwy. 63, Speedwell, TN 37870.

Arthur J. Russeau, age 86, of Arthur, formerly of Monroe, Mi., was born
August 21, 1921 in Monroe, Mi. and passed away July 22, 2007 at Anthony and Alice
Sowder's home in Nicholson, Ga.

Survivors include his brothers: Stanley, Benny and Kenny Russeau;
step-daughter: Alice (Anthony) Sowder of Nicholson, Ga.

Graveside memorial service was held Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 3 p.m. in
Watson Cemetery in Speedwell with Rev. Randy Duncan officiating. Military Honors
by Veteran's United Honor Guard.

Roxie Williams, age 93, formerly of Harrogate, passed away in Florida on
April 14, 2007.

She preceded in death by her husband: Felton L. Williams; daughter: Patricia
Vencinzo; mother: Nellie Scruggs; sister: Elizabeth Garland.

Survivors include her son: Dan (Julie) Williams and family; daughter: Agnes
(Bill) Jones and family; grandsons: Billy Dortin, Bobby (Ruby) Dortin; great
granddaughters: Anna and Brittney Dortin.

A memorial service was Wednesday, April 25, 2007 in Winter Haven, Fla.
Graveside services will be Friday, August 3, 2007 at 6 p.m. in the Harrogate
