I am trying to locate informartion concerning my Great Grandmother Elizabeth
A. Smith. She was known as Eliza or Lizzie but her real name is believed to
be Elizabeth A. as per the 1880 Cocke County Census. She was probably born
about Oct 1844 and married James Holt about 1866-67. James Holt was born Mar
4, 1835 and dies Jul 10, 1910. He was the son of Edward Holt born Dec 1794 in
Va . His mother was Mary Polly Driskill. The only other unconfirmed
information concerning Elizabeth is the 1880 Green County Census listed a John
and Mary Smith with a five 5 yr old daughter Eliza A. Smith. If anyone has
information concerning Elizabeth, her parents or anyother info I would be most
appreciative.
