Dear Naomi: I sure would ask you to look up Smiths for me, but it would be
too cruel. I have been trying to get a copy of that book, but I was too far
back in the line to get it. I am interested in a Mary Elizabeth Smith born
in 1873-1874. There is one in Cocke County in the 1880 Census. I am ruling
out the Marys the right age for my grandmother in Tennessee. I have ruled
out the ones in Greene and Washington Counties. I thought since you had the
book maybe you could look, but there may be too many of them.
