I have copies of the three cards detailing Thomas Brizendine's service
during the War of 1812 from Cocke Co. TN and the power of attorney he
gave his captain. He never applied for a pension--apparently, he wasn't
needy enough to qualify.

I have scanned in the documents. The page of cards is a fairly large
.bmp. The power of attorney is 8.5 x 14. My scanner can't handle large
documents, so it is in two parts plus a scan of the back. The POA is
also fairly large. The download may take a while. I will forward them
to anyone who would like a copy. As an alternative, I can photocopy and
send them snail mail
