This may not help you much....but there are Clicks & Dentons in earlier
records in both Greene Co TN & Washington Co....In Cocke, they mix in with my
Murrells (as you may note on the 1850 Cocke Census).

Since the discovery of these Cocke/Murrell connections, I've begun noticing
them in those two counties, where I have other folks, including some Martins
early on in Washington Co close by Dentons. Movement to Cocke from
Washington & Greene is common (for the less adventurous not going to Missouri
or Arkansas, etc.).

Just a research thought. A Carolyn Whitaker has submitted info to the Cocke
Co website on Clicks & Dentons. There is also information on both in the
Murrell file. Go to this link....http://www.rootsweb.com/~tncocke/Cckfam.htm

If you haven't already done so???

Good Luck...Probably a cousin-in-law somewhere.

Janet L. Hunter, descendant of Thomas L. WILLIAMS (b. 1810 Cocke/Sevier????)
& Franky MURRELL (b. 1810, Cocke Co, I'm pretty sure, daughter of Wm
MURRELL)....they were fellow travellers across Missouri, to Arkansas with
HENRYS, SWAGERTYS, HODGES, JOBES, and others. Thomas & Franky are in 1840
Cocke Co census, with two eldest daughters.
