Hello Everyone,

I have found in my files some pages I copied a few years ago from the
following publication I believe but did not copy the title page. FYI, at the
time I was still looking at all Tennessee counties with both Murrells and
Williams families.

Index to early Tennessee tax lists / transcribed and indexed by Byron and
Barbara Sistler. 217 p. : folded map ; 29 cm.

I have these references I believe to an 1821 and an 1827 Cocke Co tax list:

Page 210 Williams, James.....Co 1821.
Page 211 Williams, Thomas....Co 1821
Page 147 Murrel, William 1827

Can anyone confirm that I have the correct publication? I don't think these
lists have been transcribed and online at the Cocke Co website, either
rootsweb or the Sevier Co library's website for Cocke.

I would very much like to know the other persons on both of them and their
contents. Does anyone know if they have been transcribed and published
somewhere? Are they partial tax lists for the county, as they appear to be
since James and Thomas are the only ones with Cocke references in the index?
Any information welcome.
