Mr. Harris,

I doubt this will help solve your mystery, but I have Foxes who migrated from
Cocke Co to Atchison County Missouri. Also, not in my direct line, but in
my files, I have Francis Calfee who married Robert Miller Fox (13 Jun 1864 - 25
Oct 1937) who was born in and died in Cocke County. They had a son Joseph
Dewey Fox (11 May 1903 -Aug 1977) who died in Louden TN. There was much
marrying between Foxes and Talleys.

I also have a Porter Crumbly married to Darcus Elizabeth Holt (b.1866) in
Cocke Co, who is the daughter of George Holt and Darcas Elizabeth Fox, all of
Cocke Co.

I don't have anything on the other surnames you listed.

((((My grandfather John E. Turner (b. abt. 1858 - 1863) came from Cocke Co.,
Tenn. with the family of Joshua Calfee (Caffee)(abt. 1851) to Washington Co.,
Mo. somewhere between 1879 (family tradition) and 1882/1883 (more realistic).
About the same time the Huff, Sutton and Talley families came also to
Washington Co. In Cocke Co., the Fox, Crumly and Woods families seemed linked to the
family of my gg and gggrandfather's - John E. Turner (1838) and John Turner
(1805). I am in contact with the descendents of Russell Turner (1854) a son of
John E. (1838). Does anyone know of any connections in Cocke Co. between these
families. I live in Illinois and all the children of my grandparents have
passed without solving this mystery.))))
