Subject: [TNDECATU-L] Library /Research advice needed

Hi folks--

I'm going to be visiting relatives in Decatur County for a few days next
week and hope to get a few chances to visit local libraries and/or
courthouses to try to get census information, deeds, marriage records,
etc. for my husband's ancestors. All are in Decatur or Henderson County,
except for the Benton County Nathaniel NUNNERY family I just found out
about from Renea.

Can any of you give me advice about the best library to go to? For
example would the library in Lexington have things on Decatur County as
well, or would I need to spend time in Decaturville too? I understand
the courthouses have burned several times--are there still records there
worth pursuing? I've never researched in this area before, so am a real
novice and need all the best advice I can get!

Thanks--

Pam
